We leave in 13 days and have a question.

This is the first time we will be staying at the BW.
We will walk to MGM and EPCOT but are wondering the best way to get to MK.

Last year we walked from EPCOT to BW to eat and then caught the bus to Downtown Disney as we were staying at SSR.

That bus ride took forever. We started at BW and from there we went to Swan, Dolphin and Beach Club. Maybe it was not that exact order, but we hit all of them.

So we were wondering if we catch the bus at the BW to go to MK, do we have all those other stops?

Would it be faster to walk through EPCOT and jump on the Monorail? Or maybe jump in our car and drive ourselves?

Any help would be appreciated.

:confused3 :confused3

The bus from BWV to the MK stops at the Swan and the Dolphin. On the way back BWV is usually the first stop. However I have been there when this has been reversed. It isn't too bad a trip, usually takes about 20 minutes total. I've tried walking through Epcot and taking the monorail to the TTC and switching to the MK monorail. The bus is faster, and definitely less tiring.

You probably know you can't drive to the MK--you have to park at the TTC and take a tram to the monorail. Again, the bus from BWV is faster than this.

Have a super trip! :goodvibes

Tyler has say that early in the morning and in the evening - each Epcot resort now has it own bus.

during the non-busy time they still share a bus.

but during the busy time each resort has its own.

so I would definitely go ride the bus.

that say - some nights I would ride the monrail back - why - it is a fun ride and very few people can walk through Epcot to their home....

spicey - stop! You're making me so homesick! Unless we have kids along, that is my favorite way to go home. I do't care how long it takes! :):):)
Best wishes -

My dh and I would rather walk than wait. That's what I love about Epcot resorts, you have such freedom. So,we would usually walk to Epcot and take the monorail from there. It's great to have so many options.

Thanks everyone. We will try the bus from BW to MK.

Spiceycat-can you take the monorail from MK back to EPCOT and still walk through EPCOT after it is closed?

No. EPCOT has to be open to do that.

Best wishes -

Darn, here I was hoping for an after hours look at EPCOT!!
We leave in six days. :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

Epcot is always open until 9 PM, where MK often closes a couple hours before, so it is often possible to take the monorail from MK to Epcot and then walk back to an Epcot resort. We do it often also, and just love it. We love the monorail just for the sake of riding it, it's fun. Many times we will arrive at Epcot after leaving MK, in time to grab some pasteries from the bakery in France, cop out a good Illuminations viewing spot and then take the beautiful walk back to our Epcot resort. Heavenly, and so much more relaxing then having to take a bus or drive a car.

Thanks for the post and replies, we've also been thinking about BW to MK.
My mom's going on this trip too and depending on her arthritis, we'll hit the bus or walk. Probably will hit the bus most of the time (especially in the mornings or evenings). :earsboy:
