BW Stovall's

We usually stay at BWPPI. Does anyone have experience with Stovall's? We're making a last minute trip. There isn't much available!

I have stayed here a few times and most recently over New Years. The staff is friendly, our rooms were clean, the pool and topiary gardens are nice, and breakfast is decent. THe walk isn't too much further than the HOJO on Harbor. The hairdryers in the bathroom have decent power. The beds and pillows are comfy. The price is nice. When I go again, this will be one of my top choices.

I stayed at Stovall's last year and liked it. I had no problems with it at all. I had the same experience as the post above. I would stay there again if the price was rights.

It's been a few years since I stayed at Stovall's - it was great as always. This might not help your decision, but I wanted to say a word about the Stovall family. I met Jack Stovall when I was 13 in '73 (my dad worked for an airline and did business with his hotels). For some reason, Jack took a shine to me and I was a frequent visitor thereafter. He was one of the greatest people I have ever met in my life. He was a big bear of a man who had a beautiful spirit. He was always joyful. I stayed with his family a couple times, all great people. Once, I was riding with Jack on the way from his home to Stovall's. He picked up a hitchhiker. He started asking her about her situation and when he learned she had lost her job and needed work, he took her with us to Stovall's and got her a job in housekeeping. His staff at Stovall's reflected that spirit (especially John Cory). A great man.
