Does anyone have pictures? Pretty sure I got a deal that isn't going to be matched, so I would love to see what the rooms/grounds look like.

We won't be going until the end of August and I read that they will be doing lobby/exterior updates through June, but that's OK.

Thanks!

I don't have any photos of the BWPPI, although I stayed there in August and will be going again next month. However, I had to giggle a little when I thought of what photos of the "grounds" I might give you.

BWPPI is a motel - plain and simple. Imagine nondescript buildings crammed into a very small space with a very small parking lot. The pool is small and on the ground level with a view of the parking lot. If you look the other way from the pool, you'll see soda machines:)

The rooms are fine - nothing special. However, it is the location that keeps people (myself included) coming back for more.

There are many threads on here about the BWPPI, including this one:

heehee, Yes I know "grounds" sounds rather high falootin!

Just........*shrug*.... pictures. I certainly am NOT looking for fancy or even lush greens. Just curious about where we'll be staying.

We are definitely not Resort folks, so no worries. Location, however looks perfect!

Thanks for the link.

EDIT: and the reason for our good deal is we will NOT have a vehicle so size of parking lot makes no difference.

:)

Don't you love their no-car discount on their website!!!

Saves a good $20 a night (plus the savings from lesser tax on total bill)

That is the discount I'm using for our trip in May:cool1:

Trip advisor has over 100 pics...

I dont have pictures, but I've stayed there a couple of times. Location can't be beat. Rooms are fine. We've stayed in a regular room and a mini suite. Both were basic and clean. They do have a fridge and microwave, which is great.

The free breakfast is not very good. Even with the upgrades they have recently made. We ate there once and decided it was not worth our time. In two stays we've never made it to the pool. LOL!

Yup! Crazy what a difference it makes.

There was no, no car, discount when I booked so I went with aaa
I called to ask and thy told me its only available online and to go look again
It wasn't there so I stuck with my aaa
You think they would honor it when they are telling you it is there and doesn't show up
:confused3
Extra 15% adds up

They did confirm starting in jan they will be doing lobby work from 9-4

The no car discount is only available in their personal website, not if you're booking through the general Best Western site.

So, if you don't have a car, there's a no car discount AND you don't pay the $8/night parking fee? Like a "double discount"?

Yup...the fine print on their website says if you show up with a car your rate will increase 25% and you'll have to pay the parking fee.

I have ONLY found this discount on their website, not on Expedia etc.

I went to the BWPPI site rather than the BW main site to check for the No Car Discount, as we will have 2 rooms, but only one car. So, I figured that at least one of us should get the discount. However, the main site still shows plenty of rooms being available - but not the hotel-specific site - it says that there are no rooms on 2 of our 3 nights.

Considering the no car discount would save my mom $75 on our upcoming reservation, I am frustrated that the hotel won't honor the no-car rate unless you book it online.

I know they can do what they please, and if I cancel my reservations they'll have plenty of people lining up after me to take it. Frustrated!

Yeah I know
It wasn't there
The good news is that nice employee took the time to log in and see first hand that it wasn't showin up
After a few tries to figure it out they over rided the price and adjusted it for me
Very satisfied so far and if the experience is like I keep reading here at dis it's going to be a great trip hn e get there too

Here is a one bedroom...

Rooms we found to be very clean but the pool is very tiny.

Where exactly is the no car discount. I can't seem to find it on their site.

It is just a regular dumpy, dark motel. The location is great because it is on the crosswalk to Disneyland. We only stayed there once, because we had a very bad first stay. There was a pimp arguing with his employee over money in the parking lot near our door the first night we were there.

We like some of the other hotels on Harbor better. If you want to see pics of the motel, you can check out www.tripadvisor.com. This isn't a hotel with "grounds"--it is a very small motel with a tiny parking lot. A lot of people seem to find it just fine. Just adjust your thinking and expectaions accordingly, and you will be fine.
