BW or BC?

My DH, DS (7) and I are going in November for teacher's break and had booked at the BWI - well my DM is now going and the BWI is booked so she is staying at the BC.

Here is my question, should I move to BC? I was looking forward to BWI and don't want to disappoint my DH or DS. My DM said that she doesnt care (she travels for a lot for work and is used to staying by herself) and said that the hotels are close enough together that she is good with it.

Bottom line: My DS & I are the disney people and since my DH doesnt give me too much grief for going every year - I try to make it as nice as possible for him and don't want him disappointed if I change over to BC.

Any insight on comparing these two resorts is appreciated.

Thanks

Your son would probably love SAB. Did you talk to your DH about switching? I would show him photos online and see what he says. Your DM sounds like she would be fine, although coordinating meeting, etc can be a hassle between 2 different resorts. (It justs slows you down and wastes precious time!!)

It may be nice to be split between the two resorts.
And since they are essentially next to each other, not like you need to worry about complicated arrangements to meet.
Besides, you have to walk past BC on your way from BWI to Epcot, so easy enough to hook-up. The BC boat stop is right before or right after BWI (depending if you are going to MGM or going to Epcot).

I would stay at bwi. it has everything, the only advantage to bc is sab, but for your son to go there with your mother shouldnt be a problem. plus, bwi has a nice pool slide also. bwi is awesome. might be nice to have a little distance from your mother.

You would have a wonderful stay at either resort...it really all comes down to a matter of preference...we have stayed at both, and while we really love the BC, we just love staying at the BW more...it just comes down to personal preference...no matter which one you stay at though, you will have a great time...and another good thing is that they are so close you can stay at one and still enjoy the other...

Thank you for the advice - I think I am going to stick with the Boardwalk. My DM can add my DS on to her room if they want to do SAB and he will get the best of both worlds. (Since my DM is in the room by herself I am assuming that if she adds my DS to her room it isn't considered "pool hopping")

kirbsam- I love the comment "might be nice to have a little distance from your mother" and my DH probably agrees 100%.

Thanks again
Michele

We've stayed at both the BC and the BWI and our whole family including kids and dh want to stay at the BWI again. My boys LOVED the slide there. They are so close, personally I wouldn't switch.
