My mom and I are hoping to stay at a studio at either BCV or BW this spring. Both of us use scooters. Does anyone know if scooters can be parked in the hall there to charge? Has anyone been able to bring a scooter into the room? I have heard the rooms there are smaller and just want to know if I should even think of this as a possible trip. Thanks!

We have done it with one scooter in a studio but never two. The time we had two we were in a 2 bedroom.

We have seen people leave in hallway..not sure if they were charging.

Are you planning to share the bed, or will one of you have the sofabed pulled out?

If you do leave a scooter in the hallway, please try to get it as much out of the way as possible. We’ve seen several situations where scooters made navigating the hallways with luggage difficult, and housekeeping getting their carts past nearly impossible. We even had a scooter parked so it blocked our door once at BWV.

The only studio where you MIGHT leave scooters in the hallway sometimes, in my opinion is 516 at BCV. As you get off the elevator, it's on your left, but since the fifth floor is smaller, it's the last room on the left (there's no wing) and it has its own little entry way. Sorry, I can't find any photos at the moment. No one will go by.
parkinfotogo has a map that will help.

Yep.

There's (at least) one area at BWV where there's a turn in the hall and it opens up a bit, but there are columns. There were two scooters parked outside of different rooms and it just made it difficult to get through. If someone else on a scooter had been trying to get through alone, I can't see how they would have done it. And they stayed in those spots the whole time we were there.

I have seen this on more than one occasion. It's what makes parking a scooter in the hallway a less than desirable solution to the space issue... you solve your problem by creating an ongoing problem for others.... not just for other scooters, but strollers, cast members carts, etc.

If you are sharing the bed and not opening the sofa, I think with a little maneuvering you should be able to pull both into the room and plug them in to recharge. I'd check by the window and nearer the kitchenette/door... I've even pulled one up to the washroom sink and charged there.

We have used 2 ECV's and never park in the hallway. I've been told it is a fire hazard and they have been known to move them. We have moved chairs and it is sometimes tight but we always find a way to make it work. I suggest you bring a 3-prong extension cord in case the best location to charge is too far from an outlet.
