Well I finally got back into the gym  I had to drop my reps back, but i'm keeping the weight the same, at least i'm working out.

Still no idea as to when I will be back on the road. :confused3

Hi All,
nothing to post until the end of the month. I had a brutal run today. Went out around 5pm and it was just too hot. Couldn't take it. I only made it 5 miles and that was with walking a little bit.

Last week, same time, pretty easy 8 miles. Go figure.

Anyway good news Syko - getting back to normal!

Chris, how is training going?

Good news for me, I am signed up for the Ls Vegas half. Can't wait. This is the first time it goes right down the strip then back up the other side. It will be so much fun, I can't wait.

take care all,
Duane

Still here. July is my historical slow month. Going to the Polynesian this Friday for a week at Da World. Hope to relax and may do a loop over to Fort Wilderness one day.

Syko. Hope all is well and healing. Let us know about your equipment. I check in often to see how you're doing.

Good luck in LV Duane. Never been there but would love to one day >(Run or no Run)<, Take care everyone!

Hey Gang.

Duane - Training is going pretty good. Got in 8 miles yesterday for the first time in a while. Just decided to do it and did. Still doing 3 days a week at this point, but will ramp up as we get going here. How bout you?

Hope everyone is doing good!

My fear has seemed to come true though as we haven't had hardly any posts other than just reporting numbers. It's all good as I know people are busy and all.

Mike One company is giving me a pro rate sponsorship :cool1: so that is a huge help, I'm just waiting for there part to arrive. Still trying to work out how to $$$$ the others!!!!

Keep an eye out for me at WDW i'm up there several times a week!!!!!

Mike - The Poly? You lucky Dog. Enjoy your Vacation!!!!

syko - Good to hear about the sponsorship! :thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

Hi team, just checking in. I'll have my totals ready later. I am excited to have officially registered for the 2010 Disney Princess 1/2 Marathon at WDW. I have not flown in 11 years(flying fear) and am ready to not be afraid to fly anymore. I haven't been to FL in almost 20 years. Does anyone know if the host hotels provide transportation to the Princess expo/packet pickup? I wasn't planning on renting a car.

Syko - Congrats on the sponsorship news! That's fantastic!

Chris - Glad your training is going good. Do you have a race coming up?

Mike - Enjoy your Poly stay and your trip to the World!

Duane - I'm happy to hear you are running the LV 1/2 marathon. Did the wedding date change or did you just re-arrange your flight? I really believe that it is going to be a great race this year with the new course changes. I will be running it for sure, just still deciding between the 1/2 and full. I know exactly what you are saying about the heat slowing your running down. I tell you, I am struggling to get my runs in outside right now. Yesterday it was up to 114 degrees. I just have to go to the gym and treadmill it since it's not even cooling off at night.

Casey I don't know about the hotels as we don't need one, but I do know that buses run from HS to the expo, and at the expo I saw buses with hotel names on.

If you ask on the princess thread I know you will get a better answer.

Casey, yes the buses run from the host hotels to the Expo and the race. Last year there was a bit of confusion surrounding the buses on Friday, but they got it worked out in time for everything to run smoothly on Sunday the morning of the 1/2. Way to go on facing your fear. You'll have a great time at WDW!

I'm registered for the RnR Las Vegas 1/2 in December too. I've gotta start thinking about a hotel, but in the meantime I've got RnR Chicago this weekend and then the Disneyland 1/2 to plan. Right now I'm focused more on having fun and enjoying the race experience rather than improving my time.

I went to the National Training Center today and they are going to work me out a weight training programme
I have to go back on the 9th to go through it with the trainer, then i'm good to go, until then i'll just carry on with the weight routine I have.

As for miles none this month.

:cheer2::cool1: Some of my parts where shipped today
Now I just have to wait for UPS ground shipping from oneside of the country to the other!!!!!!!!

I'm going to wait until the last day to post any numbers for July. Honestly, I haven't really moved in the last month and it's rather embarrassing. Tonight was the first time I've run all month and the only reason I did was to get out of the house so I didn't yell at anyone for being ungrateful little brats. lol. :D I have faith that I'll run a least one more time this month though. It felt pretty good to get out there again.

Looks like everyone is getting back to normal. Won't be too long Kristie-Leigh.

A few people have plans to go to Disney, some to Chicago, what a traveling crew we have. I'll be in Costa Rica in a few weeks but that's for work, not much free time.

Looks like 3 of us just from this team will be in Vegas. Yahoo! Casey, I rearranged my flights, they wouldn't change the wedding just so I could run. How inconsiderate.

I'll post this weekend as I'll have more miles and time by then.

take care all,
Duane

Thanks for the info on the Princess expo hotel transportation. I'll stay tuned to the Princess thread over the next few months!

Lisa, glad to hear you will be running the LV RNR event too!

Syko, sounds like you've got some great news going with the parts shipping and your new weight training program. Let us know how it goes with the trainer on the 9th,

Jusacuz, don't worry about missing a few weeks. Blame it on the heat. :) Glad you're getting back into your routine now.

Duane, thank goodness you were able to rearrange your flight to accomodate your quest to run the strip!

Hey alright we have some chatter in here.....:cheer2::cheer2::cheer2:

Casey - No race coming up soon as my next one is the RFTT in October. Really all my training is for Goofy and to maintain.

Wish I was doing Vegas with you guys though....Or Disneyland. After seeing that medal for the Fall Races I was kind of sad I decided against Disneyland. So is life right?

Sorry I was gone for a while, was running just not posting. My July miles will be 35.
Cannot wait until the DL 1/2!

Can I join in again??? Summer time is crazy and I've been out of town quite a bit (including a quick birthday trip to the world - love the b-day gift card!) and I'm not done travelling yet.

June hours - 2,166 minutes/133 miles
July hours - 1,791 minutes/83 miles

I always seem to hit a burnout period in July so hopefully August will be better.

Like Lisa, Casey, and Duane, I will be running RNR Las Vegas. I haven't been to Vegas in years (not a big gambler) but couldn't pass up a chance to run the strip. Are there any good shows in December? I really wanted to see Love but it is dark that weekend.

I am also running RNR Chicago this Sunday. I haven't done a long run and only ran twice in the past 2 weeks so I'm planning to take it slow and easy. Plus I have to get on a plane to London that evening so I do not want to be sore.

After returning from London, I'm off to NYC to visit some college friends and run the NYC 1/2. I haven't been in Manhattan in a few years so running in Central Park, Times Square, and Battery Park should be a lot of fun!

Like many others here, I will be at Disneyland for the 1/2 and 5K. I am excited to go, but it's sad knowing it's the end of summer.

Chris, thanks for the link to the Fall Race medal! I will be at WDW during TOT so I will run that but was really tempted to take a quick (24 hr?) trip for RFTT if the medal was worth it. Since it's not, you saved me lots of $$$.

Hope all is well with everyone!

Welcome Back you two!!!! :cool1::cool1::cool1:

Yeah I think I'm saving my money now too. So sad after the great medals that Disney has put out.
