BUZZ ride refurb, does WDW ever change refurb schds?

Does disney ever change refurb schds at the last minute?
We are planning on being at MK Jan 3, Jan 4, Jan 5 therefore, we can do Buzz on Jan 3.
But I will be without the internet Dec 16 - Jan 9 (will be on holiday, but not at Disney until Dec 31). I will have no way of knowing whether or not I have to redo touring plan if a last minute rehab change is announced.
Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Ever? Yes.

But how does that change your situation this time?

We are actually checking in Dec 31 and are planning on Jan 1 and Jan 2 as park days. If by chance the refurb is pushed back to Jan 2 or Jan 3, I could still take DS to MK on Jan 1 . Right now we are planning on being at EP Jan 1 and Jan 2 but could change if I had to.

I wonder if when I check in Dec 31 at Pop I could phone somewhere and find out if the refurb date is still Jan 4 onwards.

Does anyone know what Disney department I would call to get this info. Dec 31?
