Buzz ride in dire need of a rehab

When we were in Disney 2 weeks ago, we were really disappointed to see how shabby this attraction has become.

The line area seems to always have lots of trash and debris on the floor, and the ride cars are dented and chipped. They are in desperate need of new paint.

I really hope this is on the list for rehab!

Anyone else become really sad & upset when they see a ride in such disrepair? I almost cried when I was on Carousel of Progress. That had torn, dirty carpeting, and the screens up on the stage had holes in them. Very sad.

We were there last September and I agree Buzz Lightyear needs a fresh coat of paint.

The waiting area for Buzz has always had a lot of trash in it, as I recall. I hate to see things not looking their absolute best when I'm at WDW.

Isn't it our responsibility as guests not to leave trash in the queue area of rides? I'd think if more people respected this idea, the Buzz ride wouldn't look that way. I'm in no way saying anyone here does that, but it's an unfortunate fact of life.

I didn't notice anything wrong with the ride vehicles other than the fact that ours didn't work! The laser didn't come on when the ride started, so we had to just sit through the ride without being able to participate. I told the CM at the end of the ride and he let us ride again (in a different car of course). He said that this has happened a lot lately, but the cars move past him so fast that he never has time to get the ID numbers off the ones that don't work. They definitely need to fix this, because the ride is pretty boring when you can't move your car or shoot at the targets.

I feel for Disney. The last time they shut this down for a short period of work people got LIVID!

It's a no win situation. If they shut it down to rehab it some people will miss the ride on thier visit and get ballastic. If they don't it looks shabby.
