Buzz refurb + park pics and mini report

Folks, I’m at the park now and I was told this morning that Buzz will close in August for a six-week refurb. Certainly it needs it but I’m not wild about it being down for so long. This is what happens when Disney fails to consult me prior to a major undertaking ;-).

I arrived at the park gates at 7:00. Lines were about to the Monorail, which, given recent crowds, wasn’t bad at all. We made rope drop and were first on PP. Once again, the app failed to grant me a reasonable BG. While others cheered when they got a low one, the app still indicated for me that BGs weren’t yet available. This or some variation of it always happens to me. Ultimately I was given 91. I plan to leave shortly so that, in effect, is useless to me. Also, ROTR didn’t open until about 10:00. It’s nearly noon and they’re still on 11-49.

Thanks for the report & pics! Bummer about getting a later boarding group for ROTR though

I’ll be in the parks in early August (7-9), did they mention when in August the Buzz refurb will start?

I think Boarding Group numbers depend on your brand of Cell phone and provided

I have att and a samsung galaxy j7 , the last three days we have tried for a BG my DGD has scored a low number for us. I think she has T Mobile Boost with an iPhone

I over heard while waiting at the gates, to scan in and exit the park. Go over to the picnic area, something about there being cell towers right at this area .
