Buzz Lightyear spinning

I'm going solo in a few months and I'm planning on going on the Buzz Lightyear ride.

I know the ride vehicles rotate but are they rider controlled or do they rotate automatically?

If it is rider controlled, is it hard for one person to spin and shoot or should I just concentrate on the shooting?

They are rider controlled and it is not hard to do both at the same time.

For BIG points, spin the car around in the first room and shoot the targets on back of the orange robot. It's worth 100,000 points!!!
