I've never been on a shoot em up dark ride - a lot of people say they are fun. The problem is I get a bit motion sick - just how much does the ride spin?

It only spins if you make it spin (there's a little joystick on the control panel that controls the car.) Even if you do try to spin it around and around it still goes very slowly. ;)

I get motion sickness pretty easily (I get carsick A LOT). You should have no trouble on Buzz. As pp said, it only spins if you want it to, so you can just face forward the whole time if you want. And the ride is sloooooooow moving. I actually enjoyed spinning around since it was not a fast spin. :)

I get motion sickness quite easily and have never felt sick on Buzz, even when we spin the car around and around.

i get motion sickenss very easily and have never had a problem on Buzz (even when i am spinning all over the place trying to shoot those batteries!!!!) the only part that makes me a little woozy is the part in the "tunnel" when the image of Zurg's space ship is projected on the walls around you and your car is moving thru it. i sometimes have to shut my eyes for a second or two.

Go and enjoy Buzz. It shouldn't be an issue for you.

Yeah - I would say if you were going to feel queasy - this would be the place.

it's not that long at ALL though - and like everyone else said - you are not spinning at all - YOU control the spin.

I would say just look down at your feet or your scoreboard during the tunnel - and you'll be fine. That part alone is not worth skipping this ride! DH and I have a BLAST everytime we go on it!

The tunnel makes me a bit queasy too--What I usually do is turn the car around so I'm going backwards and the effects don't bother me. This way I get to wave at my husband and daughter behind me as well. Other than that part I don't feel sick.

Ooooh, I totally forgot about that tunnel!! I have to admit, it made me a TAD dizzy. Not a big deal at all though. :)

I get very motion sick and LOVE Buzz!!! During the tunnel part I close my eyes, just like I do any ride that has something like that and my DH tells me when I can open them. It's only a matter of maybe 1/2 minute or less. Certainly not worth missing the ride for.

My wife and I always ride together.
(We're still newly-weds, got married in 1977.) ;)
She gets motion-sickness pretty easily but she LOVES the Buzz ride.
SO I let HER STEER the ship and shoot, I just Shoot.
SHE can control the spinning and it helps her not feel queazy.
It works so well that when we go to MK EMH we can ride Buzz over-and-over with her feeling no ill effects.
She DOES close her eyes during the Light-vortex Tunnel effect... but she used to do that when it was a part of "If You Had Wings (Had Wings, had wings.)" :teeth:

I too get motion sickness and had no problem with Buzz...with the exception of the aforementioned tunnel! I have to close my eyes through that part, lol.

My son gets ill easily from motion and he loves the buzz lightyear ride. it doesn't spin that fast even if you went full blast.
