Buying WDW GCards with Walgreen's GCards??

I know I have been able to do this in the past, but that was well over a year ago.
At that time, many people had been having issues with cashiers saying it can't be done.
When I did it, I didn't ask the cashier. I simply swiped the card without saying anything to them, and the system accepted the payment.

I don't want to make a 1/2 hour trip to use my Walgreen's gift card if the system has stopped accepting them as payment for the WDW gift cards.
Can anyone share their recent experience doing this? TIA

i tried it and the system had a problem. cashier checked problem and said it would not process because i had a gift card purchase and was trying to purchase with an other gift card. was trying to purchase disney gift card with walgreens gift card. i did however discover that i could us walgreens register rewards to purchase a disney gift card. don't forget the 1 coupon per item rule. so i purchased a $25 gift card with 8 register rewards and about 1.24 on cc. had 7-17 cent filler items to equal 8 items for 8 coupons.

Buy a pack of gum also and pay cash for the difference. Easiest way to get through. You will have a problem if you do the straight amount of the card to a Disney card.

So it will go through if I just buy something more than the gift card?

So I wonder, would it also work if I bought a gift card that was slightly more than the amount of the Walgreens gift card I pay with? That too would require an additional cash payment. Or do you think it is allowing your purchase due to the fact that you are buying a non-gift card item to counteract the gift card purchase?

I think it's the non gift card item that allows it. I always pick something under a dollar.

I also have a Rite Aid gift card I won in a raffle last year.
Anyone know if Rite Aid's system will allow the GCard purchase with a Gcard?
