I know it might be a long way off, but any idea where we might be able to get a VGC resale? Will the timeshare store have them or will that be prohibited since they are in Florida? (I know California timeshare laws are pretty strict.) I would love to add on there, but I am not ready to do it now, but would like to someday (sigh) and just want to know where to start looking!

I think it is to early to see a VGC resale. Disney just started selling points and the resort is not open yet.

I would think that the TSS should be able to list and sell them, since they do HHI and that is in a different state.

Thanks, I knew it was too early, but I asked only because I have seen three BLT resales in various places!! :)

It may be early but I have seen several BLT resales and it hasn't opened yet either. I would think that the timeshare store as well as the other resale agents would be able to list them, they would just have to work with title companies in California.

You are all correct. It will be some time before The Timeshare Store, Inc.® receive any listings for the Villas at Disney's Grand Californian. They will start to trickle in and when they do, we will sell them.

Closing can be handled through the escrow company we use here in Orlando (Magic Vacation Title).

Well, we just returned from SSR using our developer points. It was a complete disaster! :sad1: If our first stay at VGC is half as bad, you can expect to see 220 VGC points on the resale market early next year!

:goodvibes I am sorry it was a disaster. Care to elaborate?

The little black rain cloud just followed us around the whole week! I sent a one and a half page epistle to my guide & DVC member satisfaction email on Monday. Guide called Tuesday for 10 seconds to say he'd figure out how to fix it. Still waiting....I knew going to SSR that I wouldn't like the buses, which is why I didn't want to stay there, but developer points are developer points. I didn't know the staff would be constantly rude. I didn't know we'd get the room the farthest from the Springs or the bus stop, especially after requesting the Springs. Didn't know we'd get wrong information every time we called the front desk costing us precious time. Didn't know the front desk guy wouldn't tell us half the stuff we'd need to know when we checked in like about wheelchairs for obviously elderly MIL, etc....the list goes on. Made us appreciate our precious Disneyland and wonder why anyone goes to Florida for anything but the Space Center & Animal Kingdom? Even if they would have moved us to a different room the next day, it would have made things a million times better, however, we didn't know that was an option until the bellman picked us up to check us out. That was the worst part. He picked us up & proceeded to tell us all the things they could have done to make our stay better. I was about to cry for the rest of the day!

On one my personal point stays at SSR - we made arrangements to go back to the airport on the ME.

According to the resort info - we had to be there at 1:00, no big deal.

I get there about 12:50 and find who I think was the driver and basically start getting yelled at because I wasn't there 30 minutes ago.

Not pleasant - he basically tells me to f&(*&( off!

Needless to say the SSR manager and I had a little heart to heart.

The SSR staff ended up driving us to the airport - they at least stepped up and took care of it.

I agree that they don't pay enough attention to things like times to be places, etc.

We (The Timeshare Store, Inc.®) posted our first listing for The Villas at Disney's Grand Californian Hotel® & Spa yesterday.
