Folks,
After going to WDW 5 times with the family in the last 8 years, I'm thinking about finally taking them to the place that started all in Anaheim.

I like to plan way in advance and heard the prices are going up soon (today, if I'm not mistaken).

Question is: differently from WDW, can't you buy tickets to use next year or the year after (protecting against future price increases)?

All places I saw (Costco for the Southern pass), Ares travel indication from Mousesavers indicate you can only use the tickets until December 31st.

Even if I buy from Disney directly, do they also expire?

What's the best place to buy tickets (or combos like Costco one) for California parks?

Thanks....

Disneyland tickets definitely do expire. It has been reported that since the price increase this morning the expiration date on tickets direct from Disney is now 12/31/19. I'd call Disney directly before purchase to be sure.

An expired DL ticket still retains it's purchase value, but you will have to pay any increased price in effect when you do go.

Best DL ticket prices are LMTClub, you can look up a code for free membership. It's up in the air as to whether 3rd party vendor tickets will expire 12/31/18 or 12/31/19. I've heard both but YMMV.

I wasn't aware that WDW tickets never expired and you could use them for admission at any time. That's nice!

Actually, it's the same scenario as you described for DL tickets - expire on 12/31/18, but retains it's purchase value.

Last minute travel club is the best place to buy. But wait until they run out of their 2018 stock before buying.

Thanks for the replies.
I'll try to contact the Last Minute travel club to see when they will have the 2019 expiry tickets.

I may have gotten confused about WDW since I had non-expiry tickets from 2010 and haven't bought since then.

I really like the Costco.ca southern pass and will keep watching that one as well (to see when the passes change expiry date).
