I think we have decided to get our tickets at TDS. AAA doesn't have the 7 day pass and w/ s&h, Maple Leaf is only 6.00 cheaper. I think I would rather purchase them in person and not have to worry about the mail or them being delivered.

I was wondering who else had bought their tickets from TDS and what kind of results you had. It seems like it shouldn't be too much, but I just want to see if anyone has had any problems w/ it.

TIA! :sunny:

I've been researching tickets for the last couple of months. I had the same feeling about having them in my hand and not worrying about the mail. However, by the time you add tax onto the Disney store prices, they aren't that great.

We ordered ours through ticketmania via the Mousesavers newsletter.

Best of luck with your decision! :flower:

Purchasing your tickets thru TDS is one of the best ways to go if you want your tickets in hand. I worked at TDS for over 7 years and we sold hundreds/thousands of them.

I purchased our tickets at The Disney Store last year. The store is very convenient to my office so I walked in once a month and bought just one. I did it every month until I had all we needed. It was an easy way to budget so we didn't have to plunk down more than $1,000 all at once.

We bought our six day park hoppers there before our last trip. I thought that it ended up being a little cheaper than waiting until you get there....

They tell you when you buy them to keep your receipt for them with one traveller, your actual tickets with another travller, and to pack copies of both in several different bags. This way if lost or stolen before activated, Disney can replace them for you even if you didn't buy them there.

I agree with the above poster, I bought one every few months at the disney store and just fit it in my monthly budget. I also like the fact that the tickets are the hard plastic credit card type and not paper.

My family has always bought our tickets through the Disney store. We definitely prefer to have our tickets in hand. And we've never had any problems with the tickets.

Thanks for the advice, everyone. I wish I had gotten 1 every so often! I do like the fact that they are hard tickets and they have the extra receipt. W/ it being only 6.00 more than on-line (including tax), I think I will go w/ TDS! :sunny:

and I did not know you can buy tickets at the Disney Store. Are they park hoppers and can you get a specific number of days or are they in 7 day increments. I need 6 day park hoppers. Are they about the same price as from the website? Also, I have booked my room only and planned on adding the Meal plan and the park tickets in November. Do I have to book the tickets and room to get the meal plan or can I get the tickets at the DS and book the room and meal plan thru the reservations number. Thanks, CindyML

Great idea about buying them each month. Spreading the cost out helps the 'sticker shock'.

They are the Magic Your Way Tickets, so you can chose from basic, hopper, pluses, or premium(hopper & pluses). The days come from 3-7. You have to add the non-expiration at WDW. They are a little cheaper than waiting until you get to the gate. When you are quoted the price, it includes FL sales tax. I hope this was helpful. I worked at TDS for 3 years and we did sale alot. Several people bought one a month to help break up the price.

The Disney Store sell tickets ranging from 3 to 7 days. Unfortunately, not the 10 day tickets (which I am planning on purchasing eventually). It is nice to have the tickets in hand especially if your trip is coming up relatively soon. One advantage in purcasing your tickets at TDS as opposed to at the park is that you don't pay the entertainment tax. Buying tickets in TDS yields 7% tax (in NC) but buying them in the park will cost 18% in tax.
