Hi, I need to get a 4 day Magic your way base ticket to Disneyworld. I can get the $50 Disney gift cards at Target for a 5% discount with the target red card. Could I buy 5 Disney gift cards and then go to the Disney Store and use them to buy the ticket? Will they allow me to use all 5 gift cards to buy the 1 Disneyworld ticket?

Yes! I did that this past weekend! They start at 3 day tickets, and have all options available!

You can use as many GC as you like...but I will warn you that you can't currently link the park tickets purchased at the Disney store to MDE, so you won't be able to book FP+ at 60 days.

I took advantage of the discount prior to the price increase last year and wish I would have just purchased as part of a package or from Undercover Tourist to take advantage of the FP+ pre booking.

I bought over $1400 worth of tickets from the Disney store using all gift cards that were $25 or $50 denominations :lmao: CM was so patient and just kept running them through. So no problems there.

Yes, like a pp mentioned, you will not be able to link them in MDE. Only you can decide if that is a big deal to you or not. For us, it was a non-issue.

Why won't the tickets bought at the Disney Store work for MDE? I thought they were all the same tickets?
Thanks!

I bought tickets at the Disney Store prior to the price increase last spring. The adult tickets were able to be linked to MDE. The kids' tickets weren't. This was at the MN mall of America Disney store. I have my fastpass+ booked for the adults and will try to copy them over to the kids once we get there.

Does anyone know if this is still the case?

I would like to buy FL Res Discover Disney tickets at the Disney Store, and link them in MDE so I can set up my fast passes. I purchased gift cards at Target to buy them, and did not realize I couldn't use them to buy the tix online/over the phone.

I don't want to wait until I get there bc to me that defeats the whole purpose of the fast passes.

Any other thoughts are appreciated!

any update on linking disneystore tickets to mde? I want to buy tickets and have them in hand instead of waiting for shipping. if you buy tickets from disneyworld.com do they send the number right away you need for mde? thanks for any advice

couple weeks ago we went to our local Disney store to buy tickets- and they told us that you were NOT able to link them

just called our local Disney Store today & did online chat with cast member on Disney World website today-
both said you currently CAN NOT link tickets bought at your local Disney Store to My Magic+ (My Disney Experience )
ie not able to book fast pass+ reservations before your trip

Buying tickets from Disneyworld.com
only ONE disney gift card & other form of payment (credit card) and be used online.

HOWEVER....

you can call disney world ticketing and use MULTIPLE Disney Gift Cards to buy park tickets (we did this last week using over 20 GC)

The cast member will give you a conf # (and they will also email you conf info)

Our phone agent stayed on the line with us...asked us to log into our My Disney Experience account (from WDW website)
and then walked us through linking the tickets we just bought to our account.

it's very easy (we did not need their help) but was great to see that the cast member wanted to make sure that we were able to link our tickets successfully

I bought tickets at the Disney Store a couple of weeks ago and linked them no problem. The CM said she didn't think I can, but I had her show me the back of the ticket, and it had one of the ticket code types mentioned on MDE (there are 12 digit 13 digit etc). Mine are all linked, and fast passes booked!

*Note - these were FL Resident Discover Disney passes, not sure if that makes a difference. But pretend like you are goingto link tickets, and you will see all of the types of ticket codes accepted.

Hi everyone

Anyone seen that in the new My Disney experience app update...
You can now use your camera to scan barcode of tickets or enter the information in manually?

Wonder this might work with Disney store bought tickets.
Nerve seen what you buy at the Disney store/get for your ticket. But if memory recalls they looked like gift cards almost.

Don't have any Disney store tickets to try.

But someone out there might have some...they should post their result here for everyone.

I know my local DS ( Columbus, OH) had the new linkable Tixs. The tickets look just like my AP ticket and my friends ticket I bought from UCT.
