Our cruise is October and I'd like a new swimsuit (ladies.) Even here in warm SC they had already taken most of them out of the stores by July. Any good tips on places for good swimsuit selection August - October?

We have same problems as we cruise in Feb. Have found new swimwear on eBay. Good luck. Nat:Pinkbounc

Try www.landsend.com they have great swimwear. They have some on clearance, but even the full price suits are well worth the money. The don't fade and are made of good fabrics with adequate coverage. HTH

You also might want to check out www.jcrew.com. They are a little pricey but the quality is awesome. They have about every style you could want too. Good luck!

my wife did a lot for my son and I on eddiebauer.com. great prices last fall.

Another vote for land's end. And they have many of them on clearance now. They have an excellent return policy (just don't remove the little paper thingie!), and their suits hold up wonderfully.

Ditto on above... Have used Newport News many times and am happy with products!

Not sure if there are any Dillards around SC, but they are having great sales - picked up 2 last weekend.

Good Luck!

You might want to check out your local mall. I know in a couple of our malls they have a store that is nothing but bathing suits. Good luck.

We have an outlet mall around here and they have a chain store called California sunshine Swimwear.

All they sell are bathing suits, all year long.

Try a search and see if there is one in your area.

Do you not have Ross, Marshalls or TJ Maxx out there? Or some other type of *outlet* store? The ones here have tons of bathing suits that went on clearance last month. Hope u find what u need!

This is a great site, especially for those with hard to fit figures:
www.laraines.com
You can e-mail with questions, they are very helpful, and the quality is superb. Shipment is extremely fast!

i just found my wife one today, check some of your local store. Try the woman's fashion one first. I looked in Marshall, target.tj maxx, walmart, ect. Her's was 60% off of the lowest price,so we saved alot.

I know I could never buy a swimsuit online or from a catalog. I really need to try on first. I bought three in the last month "after season" here in FL, one at JC Penny, one at Goodys and one at Marshalls, but the selection in most stores is pretty slim. At least they are a bargain right now.

Best swimsuit store I have ever been to - La Plage - they carry suits that are designed by a woman in SC - and they are gorgeous!!

Have fun!!

Another vote for Lands End. The virtual model feature on their site is hilarious. You type in all your body measurements, skin tone, hair color & style and it creates your body double that will try on the clothes/swimsuits and give you a 360° view. Sometimes it's a little too honest, IMO. :scared1:

The suits are really good quality though. Their fit charts give a pretty accurate guide on sizes too.
