Buying small add ons to new resorts??

Hi, I have asked this question on another thread, but it might get lost within it, and as I have to sit down with DH tonight and seriously talk about whether to buy into DVC, I want to have all my facts straight!!

Can you buy 25 points in BLT, thus allowing you to book at 11 months out, and then use extra points from your main DVC purchase to pay for the extra nights??

Or can you only book the number of nights that you have enough BLT points for, and then have to wait for the 7 month window to (fingers crossed!!) purchase extra nights there??

It's the latter. You could bank and borrow to potentially have 75 points to use, but you can't use any points associated with other resorts until the 7 month window.

Assuming you are a current member then you could do a 25-point add-on at BLT. However, you wouldn't be able to combine them with any non-BLT points until the 7 month mark. Even if you saved up those 25 BLT points for 3 years with banking & borrowing, you would need to travel during low seasons to maximize the length of stay you could afford on those 75 points.

Its too soon to tell how difficult it will be to book there at the 7 month mark but if you really want to stay there consistently and have one of the nicer views each time you will probably want to own there.
