Hi, can someone pls explain what are the benefits of b uying shares and where do i buy them from ?

I purchased mine through selftrade as my bank only trades in the UK. I still only have my temporary certificate but I still love my little bit of the magic, and it gives me a bigger excuse to shop in the Disney Store, just can't wait until I can use it at DLP itself !!

I bought mine through selftrade too - they charge £12.50 for the transaction. To be honest everyone I spoke to at self trade were great.

thanks have checked out the link and selftrade. do i need to buy a certain number to qualify for the discounts in shops and resturaunts?

i had to enter my bank details oin selftrade to register, do they charge me anything? also why do i need to send money to fund my account if im not buying shares right atm?

one last question do they charge you anything to buy the shares and does it go through the bank as an overseas transaction? dont want to pay overseas charges

I think it is 5 shares to get the discount but then you have to pay a membership renewal fee every two years but if you buy 20 you just renew every couple of years with no fee. When I bought mine a few months ago for the cost I bought 20 - I paid around £70 to include self trade fee of £12.50 and 24 shares

thanks!

have searched for euro disney shares its bring up 3 options france, germany and something else. do i select france or is that just for residents in france?

If you are talking about the selftrade website, sorry do not know. I rang them and paid for it over the phone, as I say they were very patient with me :rotfl2:

Its the first one on the list of 3, when you input Euro Disney in the search. (its the only one of the 3 which doesn't show SCA after it in the title).

I have to admit I found the whole thing confusing at first too. Good luck with your purchase :goodvibes

Just rang selftrade and they said they dont send you a share certificate its held electronically and to get discount in shops etc here and voerthere just give them your name and they look you up on their database?

I think they've got confused.

Once you buy the shares for Euro Disney, you print off a contract note from selftrade (this confirms how many, and what kind, of shares you've bought).

You then have to apply to Disney themselves for your shareholders card, selftrade don't do this for you. You need to send Disney the contract note from selftrade, and the shareholders club application, which you can complete and print off on the official Disneyland Paris website.

woo hoo well done

they should have received my application by now

then i can buy my shares

:cool1::cool1:

i meant self trade should have my application by now

i couldnt do mine online or on the phone as they couldnt verify my housename lol

trying to complete the online form on disney but it doesnt give UK as a country option

In the list of countries, you choose "Royaume Uni" - this is UK in French. And congratulations on buying your shares :).
