Hi godizlife :welcome: to the Disneyland Paris Trip Planning & Community Board.

Hoping you'll have lots of fun on here    please join in with any thread or if you have any questions please start a new one of your own.

If you haven't had a look yet, the DLP DISboard posting rules are here and the DIS posting guidelines can be found here. :)

I'm afraid I know absolutely nothing about buying shares from the US. I do know it's been done before but I can't seem to find any of the threads through a search. :confused3

If your living in Germany it would probably be much easier for you to buy them through a German bank.

I think it depends on where you are resident (i.e. Germany or USA) as to who you can buy shares through. I think all UK stockbrokers won't let you sign up if you are not UK resident, so I'd try a German/US broker depending on where your permanent residence is (google shoud help)

I looked into doing this and gave up on the idea. I seemed to hit a roadblock everywhere I turned. I'd love to hear from an American who was able to buy shares and how they did it.

I asked here once, and someone replied that they bought shares through their US stock broker...however, I don't have a stock broker. I THINK I remember someone saying that they purchased shares through etrade, but not sure. :confused3 Sorry, I'm no help...but I'm also interested in the answer. My other concern is how to handle any dividends/distributions/capital gains on my US income taxes.

There are loads of restrictions for US citizens buying shares outside of the US. I think your best bet is to contact your US bank if you are still an account holder over there. If it is discounts you are after, it may simply be easier for one of your party to buy the top level of annual pass which gives you lots of benefits.

To be honest there is no worry about receiving any dividends or distributions from Euro Disney SCA within the foreseeable future.
