Hopefully some long timers out there can help me out with this question. I just bought into DVC (AKV) . I currently have 200 points but have since decided that I need to add a few more to take care of yearly vacation needs. If I bought another contract for 50 points at say the Beach Club would I be able to use all 250 points at the 11 month mark for the Beach Club since the other contract is under AKV? Just want to make sure I make the right decision and know exactly how this works before I do it! Ultimately I guess I am asking if you have multiple contracts can you use all your points at either resort at the 11 mointh mark? Thanks for your help with this.

No, you could only use the 50 points at 11 months, at 7 months you could use all 250 to book at any resort you want. This question comes up alot. You used to be able to do this, but Disney closed this loop hole within the last year.

..... You used to be able to do this, but Disney closed this loop hole within the last year.

That's incorrect. You could NEVER book a resort at 11-months using points from a non-home resort. It made no difference how many home resorts you owned.

What you're thinking of is point morphing, which only occurred when one member transferred points to another member. That was closed last year.

In point morphing if you owned OKW points and transferred them to an owner who only owned BWV points, your OKW points morphed and became BWV points and could be used at 11-months. That no longer occurs. They now remain as OKW points.

But that situation is totally different than an owner having two different home resorts, and using the combined point total at 11-months at one of the home resorts, which is what the OP is asking.
