buying one day tickets?

I am trying to find the best deal for one day tickets. My mom, DD 12, DS 9 and myself will be in Orlando for a few days in early August. I have been saving, selling on ebay to get enought money for tickets.
I planned to use target red card, pharmacy coupon and gift cards to buy disney gift cards at Target. Then wanted to buy tickets at disney store. However, disney store does not sell one day tickets!
Any suggestions on where to buy tickets with my disney gift cards?
I didn't want to wait until park day and have to stand in line for tickets.

You might as well buy them at Disney. Resellers do not sell discounted 1 day tickets for the most part, some even charge a premium for them because Disney doesn't discount them when they sell them to resellers.

You pretty much limit yourself to buying from Disney if you intend to use Disney GCs as your form of payment. This is better for you anyway since, as has been pointed out already, the ticket resellers do not discount 1-day tickets anyway.

The problem is that you cannot purchase tickets online from Disney and use multiple GCs (or any GCs as far as I can tell) to pay for them. You will also have to pay for shipping, which will eat into your savings. There is a phone number for ticketing but I don't know if they take orders or if they will process multiple GCs. You could always call to find out, but again, you will pay for shipping.

However, you don't have to use your ticket on the day it was purchased or at the park where you bought it. So you could conceivably visit the Boardwalk area on a night before you plan to visit a park. Take a walk over to the International Gateway at Epcot and buy your tickets at that window. It tends to be less busy than the main gates. Or you can purchase park tickets at the ticket window at one of the water parks. And Guest Relations in Downtown Disney also sells park tickets if you want to spend an evening there prior to going to the park.

1. Disney does not sell one or two day tickets at a discount. If an authorized reseller gets any, they will charge a premium.

2. The only place that will accept Disney Gift Cards is Disney.

3. Best price is at the Gate. And we can take an unlimited number of Disney Gift Cards at any ticket window for one transaction. (My record is 23 for a family buying APs.)

4. Every Park entrance (including TTC and IG) will have at least one Ticket and one Guest Relations Window open at least 30 minutes prior to the first Guest being allowed into the Park. And this takes into consideration both pre-opening dining reservations as well as Morning EMH. So the ticket lines are not very long.

We always buy our one day tickets before we enter MK. It really doesn't take much time. We used the kiosks this past April. Not sure how that works with gift cards.

I will be at DTD sometime before our park day so I can buy them there is what I now understand.


The cost of one day tickets is crazy, but it is all the time we will have this visit. We plan to visit Legoland that week too.

A week long Disney trip is in the works for February.
