Buying my first DVC from TSS and have a Question

Well I am buying my first DVC package. One came up that I couldn't pass up.
I am faxing back the paper work tomorrow morning. Do you think we will be in the system before the 1st of Jan. We are already taking a trip from the 1st to the 8th and really don't want to buy an annual pass without the DVC discount. How much off each pass is that by the way?


Also how to I get the picture of the property to come up on my signature?

It all depends on how quickly Disney gets it through ROFR process. I really would not count on it.

Not sure, but maybe you could purchase a 10 day pass, use it for your Jan trip. Then for your next trip see if you can upgrade those passes to an AP with your discount. But I am not sure if there is a time limit on when you can upgrade passes from first use.

I also just signed a contract from the TTS and on the contract it said closing should be on or before Jan 10th. You also have to keep in mind that Disney could take up to 30 days in order to go through ROFR. Scot from the TTS did tell me that Disney has been pushing the contracts through ROFR quicker so hopefully it won't take the full 30 days.

While its possible that it can go that quickly, I wouldn't count on it or plan around it. We bought this summer from TTS and it took us about 2.5 months from faxing the initial contract to getting into the Disney system.

Disney took the full 30 days to waive ROFR of our contract. We are still waiting for the final paperwork. Our contract went in Oct 16. Hope for the best but be prepared to wait. I have my fingers crossed for you.

I'd say you have a good shot. We just did a resale through TSS and it went very fast. It took just mere days after we signed the papers for it to go before Disney for ROFR. It took longer for all the closing papers to be gathered and to be signed from all interested parties than it did for Disney ROFR.

Tickets can only be upgraded in the first 14 days after their first use. This also applies to non-expiring tickets.
