Buying Magic Bands Online

Hello - we are going to Disney World in January and were wanting to buy the kids some of the signature Magic Bands and hopefully put them in their stockings. Are all the Magic bands that are available at http://www.disneystore.com/magicband/mn/1024701/? Are there additional ones available on property that you cannot buy online?

Very few any more. Usually they are parks only for a month or so and then go online.

The only ones I know are 100% on property only are customs and party exclusives.

If you get the Disney "Shop Parks" app, there are lots of Magic Bands to choose from! They also have free shipping for most items, currently!

There is an identification number inside the Magic Band. It can be used to associate the MB with your ME account under the "MagicBands and Cards" section. Be warned, it's not printed very big!

According to the OP's profile (and actually, user name as well), they're in Canada, and the app isn't available in Canada. Also, I think the free shipping promotion ended November 22.

If you are in Canada and can't get the shop Disney Parks app, then yes, you will typically find a bigger variety of bands at WDW than on the Disney Store website (sometimes the Disney store website has more listed than other times). If you have the app, most of them are probably on there, but there is no guarantee of that. Also, I don't think January is a big time for putting new merchandise out there, but when we were in WDW in October, new ones popped up during our stay.

My guess is due to the shipping of technology laws. Many technological items, especially those with encryption, are difficult to send outside the US. As part of work I used to send computer systems to Canada and it was an extra step, and a fair amount of time, to get things though customs.
