DH has levelers he made out of wood, but looking into getting the plastic "lego-like" blocks because of the weight and size difference. We don't have access to too many rv places here in NJ and shipping is SO high. Is it possible to purchase them on our way down? would they carry them at places like a flying J?

If you're driving down 95, there is a Camping World in St. Augustine near the outlet malls. There also happens to be a Disney outlet in the Prime outlet mall there too, right next to the Camping World.

The lego type are $30 for 10 of em at WalMart and $42 at our local RV dealer. All WalMarts I have seen in Iowa here have carried them. Should be everywhere.

I bought mine at Walmart and there is a Walmart in Smithfield NC, not verry far from exit 98 on I95. We are in that store all the time and RVs are always in the the parking lot.

I bought my 2 sets of lynx levelers at Wal-Mart also. They work great! Even in sandy situations! :thumbsup2

I am almost certain that I have seen the plastic "Lego" levelers for sale in the Trading Posts at FW. I will check on my next trip, or perhaps someone who is there now can tell us. Also, I have never needed to use levelers at FW-the sites are pretty level.

Walmart has the best price I have seen for these. I use mine all the time. If I don't use them under the tires, I use them under the stabilizer jacks.

There is also a Camping World near WDW - big one too.

But, if Walmart doesn't have them, try any of the RV dealers in your area. I have two sets of Lynx levelers and I got them from the on-site supply store at my RV dealership

Thanks for all the responses! Our walmarts here do not carry them (guess when you're less than an hour outside of NYC, they figure not enough RVs to make a profit), but I least I know we'll be able to pick some up on the way down.
Thanks again, everyone!:thumbsup2

I just purchased 2 sets today online at camping world. Set of 10 costs $25.99. They do have a locations in lakewood and swedesboro, nj.

Help it helps. :)

You have an A-liner don't you?? with a single axle??

If so, may I recommend something else. It is more expensive than Lynx levelers but soooooo much easier.

You just slide it around the tire on the low side and crank the screw with the included ratchet wrench!! Easy!!!

Are you thinking of me, Carol? (very close screen name to kristytru...unless she has an Aliner too...wouldn't that be weird!)

I was going to suggest the same thing if Kristy has a single axle. I just got a BAL for my birthday last fall and only used it at the Fort (which was truly unnecessary since it was nice and flat...but I had to play with it since my dad had just given it to me!) Sooo nice! I do like haveing a set of Lynx in addition to the BAL, though - we use 'em for the tongue jack if we have to take the wheel off to get it low enough in front, or we've also used 'em as stepping stones after a storm left the ground all soupy!

Yep, I was thinking of you!!!! Isn't the BAL the coolest thing!!!!!:woohoo:

Absolutely - with the BAL you can get it "perfect". There have been so many times when one more lynx would have been too much, but one less was too little.

Now to get out there for the season and start using it...at least we've got the Aliner back home in the driveway now - she spent the winter at a friend's house so we could use the garage. Having it home is one step closer to actually camping!

Where in Jersey are you? I'm in Somerset County and we go down to Lakewood to Scott's Motor Coach. They have what you need and if they don't they will order it.

And not to sound like a typical Jersey person, but its right off of Exit 91 off the Parkway. :rolleyes1 I was just there Saturday. Hmm, let me ask what DH is doing with his levelers. He conned me into putting hydraulics on ours. Not quite sure how that happened -- something about helping the economy or something. :rotfl: Yep, I'm a sucker. :thumbsup2

I have a set from camping world and needed to buy a set from wall mart on one trip( We left the original set in the garage) There are plenty of camping worlds and walmarts on your way. If you have the time I would check walmart.com. They had the better price. There really isn't a difference in quality.
