I apologize if this info is out there but I didn’t catch it in my search. Going in December - SIL and myself - I am planner and she is having me plan it all. She is listed under my Family and Friends and I manage her. I want to buy Genie+ for both of us but we don’t share the same phone service. Has it been announced how 1 person can buy Genie+ and individual rides for other adults in the group? Will it be like the old fastpass as long as you manage them you can make/buy all the same services or if everyone has their own MDE account and you only share viewing capabilities each people will have to buy it from their own phone?

I don't think phone service would matter.
You will need to pay for everyone if your the one selecting the feature.

Likely handled just like Friends & Family is now where you could book FP+ for anyone you are connected to. I think this won't be much different in that respect than MDE, just enhanced.

ok - thanks it had been awhile since I went with extended family members (ones I couldn't manage on Friends and Families) and I didn't like that we had to all get together to plan fast passes. I wanted to be the one person to get all the fast passes for the entire group at 1 time. But I think that as long as I manage the account I should be good in purchasing the base and the individual ride passes.

I’m hoping someone has my issue before our November trip. Extended family vacay with most staying on property but a group staying in their own home off property. We’ll be hooked through MDE. I’m guessing I’ll either have to wait to make choices once we’re all in the parks or hope they can get something close to what the rest of us have snagged at 7am. And I’m hoping there won’t be some kind of IT issue like there used to be with Rise BGs. “Stop - are you all WDW resort guests?”

You make a good point. Before as long as someone was on property they could make FP+ for everyone, even off property, at 60 days.

Now with it being a paid service with two different parameters for on and offsite, I would think they have it programmed that the offsite guests would not be eligible for the 7 am individual attraction purchase. That would mean you'd all likely get two different times. Of course it is Disney IT and they rarely seem to think things through so who knows until we get to that point.
