Hi guys

We are on our last day of the dining plan today. There are only 2 of us but we have 4 table service credits left and 4 counter service credits left.

Parents are coming down today not on the ddp and we have a reservation for later on in the day. Are we able to use our credits to buy their food as well as ours? Or is this prohibited?

Juts a shame to be wasting credits.

Thanks

You can't use credits for people who are not on your reservation. Sorry.

You will be able to use the CS credits (you may. Need to do this in two separate transactions) but not the TS.

Sorry, they won't let you use your credits to buy meals for your parents.

This is against the rules, and spelled out as such in the terms of the Dining Plan.

Yes, but I know people who have extra credits will buy other people CS meals or snacks at the end of their trip. There was just a thread on what to do with leftover credits and that was one of the options.

I understand the TS - the person is not physically there. But if one member of a family goes to the food court to bring back breakfast for the family, there's no way to know who is physically eating the food. Same thing as if a person buys ten snacks with his leftover credits and then gives them out to the neighborhood kids when he gets home, he still paid for those snacks.

I guess some terms are easier to get around than others. There are mechanisms in place to prevent you from using more table service credits in one sitting than there are people in the room.

According to Disney it is not an option. There are many rules they have in place that people have found ways to get around. Doesn't mean you should do it. And as an FYI telling people how to get around Disney's rules and policies is actually against the rules of the Disboards.
