Buying Droid Accessories once home?

I see some personality chips on eBay, but is there a way to purchase personality chips or accessories directly from droid depot/Disney and install them at home? Kids are home with two R2 units and I’m trying to figure out if this is even possible or what the choices are. Thanks.
