A few of my friend will become parents pretty soon and I was thinking on stocking up on some baby gifts for them on my next WDW visit.

Where would I get the best stuff for babies, like clothing, toys, plush animals etc.? World of Disney? Or is there maybe even a dedicated baby store at DTD or in one of the parks?

There is a Winnie The Pooh shop (at DTD and next to WTP ride in MK) that has nice blankets, and sleepers, etc...

My son has a WTP blanket that he's had since he was born (almost 6 now) and won't part with it.

maybe it was just me, but i could not find any gender neutral things when we were just there....i looked in every store we went to.

I got some great stuff for my youngest last year at the DTD location of World of Disney. They have an entire area dedicated to the wee ones! I liked that they had baby stuffed animals grouped together (you know, without eyes that might be bitten off and swallowed and without any dangerous parts...just cloth and stuffing). They also had some cute sleepers and onesies.

The World of Disney store does have a baby section with a nice selection. The Winnie the Pooh store also has baby stuff.

I bought a blanket at WOD store before my oldest was born. He was never a big blanket lover but my second son loves it. It is his favorite blanket and would take it everywhere when he was little. It is still hanging around his room somewhere. This blanket is over 10 years old and has no rips, no seams coming loose and looks great.

Don't forget to get them a "Baby's First Christmas" ornament if they celebrate Christmas. Great gift!

Magic Kingdom:

Baby items can be found in Mickey's Emporium on the left side of main street as you are coming in. Also, there are baby snow globes in the jewelry shop on the right side of main street as you come in. But if you are flying you can't get a snow globe. They can't even be checked.

You can get Baby's First Christmas Ornament at the Christmas shop in Liberty Square. They can personalize it too. And you can never have too many 1st ornaments. IMO

The shop at the end of the Pooh ride has lots of Pooh items, clothes, plush etc..

The huge Tent in Toontown has tons of kids and baby items including onesies and toys.

Disney Hollywood Studios

There's a big kid/toy shop on the right. It's the last shop as you come in before you turn onto the street that takes you to Tower of Terror.

There's a Christmas shop around the corner from the Muppets and there is a Muppet shop. I think there were baby clothes in the Muppet shop.

There is a shop outside of the Animation Studios. It's not the shop with all of the art attached to it. It is across from it. Also across from the Playhouse Disney Stage. One part of the shop is open and has princess stuff. The other part of the shop is enclosed and has toys. We got Will a Disney ring stacker and a Disney shape puzzle. You know like the plastic ball that has shapes you can put in the corresponding holes.

Animal Kingdom.

We were pretty much done shopping by this park so not sure where stuff would be here. I know they have toys in the Chester and Hester shop in Dinoland. I'm thinking one of the shops toward the front of the park after the Oasis would have baby clothes.

Epcot:

Also didn't pay too much attention to stuff. There are two shops however, that have toys that are right in front of the World Showcase Lagoon on the Future World side. Basically directly across the water from the American Pavilion.

Also, there are some super cute Nemo onesies at the Living Seas.

Downtown Disney: (Marketplace side)

There is a small baby section at the World of Disney. Go in through the Princess entrance and make a left. Also at the far end of the store there is a big boy section that is completely themed to pirates. Don't think they have baby clothes but they may have some toys.

There is a baby shop on the Marketplace side. It's sort of convoluted so best to look at a map. They have tons of pooh stuff and other stuff. Best selection of baby stuff anywhere on property. They had tons of clothes.

Also, you'll find that just about everywhere there are more girl options than boy. Such is the way of all stores and not just Disney.

You can also buy My First Ears at any of the ears shops. Don't know if they still do it but the Main Street shop at the Magic Kingdom was the only place left on property that embroidered the name by hand.

Happy shopping!

I went in Dec '08 when I was 17-weeks pregnant and we got quite a few baby-gro's and vests for the baby. But I'd agree there isn't a lot of gender neutral stuff - and I'd say they had more stuff for baby girls!

We are going next year with my son who will be 2yrs by the time we go (he is 10-months on Friday!) and I am hoping to get him some clothes - mainly a "my first visit" tee-shirt!

Don't forget to get him his first hat (its baby blue color). My son loves that hat. He puts it on Pooh Bear since his head is too big. I have to get him a youth one for our next visit.

when is your next trip? When I went there in April they had a great selection at world of disney in dtd

Thanks for posting this. We are hoping to have a baby in the next year or so. I am pretty sure that we are buying baby mouse ears. Who knows what else we may pick up. Even if we are not blessed with a baby, we have a relatives and co-workers that I am pretty sure could make use of the stuff.
