Can you buy disney dollars at the Conorado Springs Resort? Do they accept Visa card or Maestro?

I'm asking since that would be cheaper than using an ATM for us foreign visitors

True, but if I am not mistaken, Disney Dollars have been phased-out as the Disney Gift Card is the new "in-house" payment method. Disney Dollars are still an acceptable means of payment, but today, they are regarded as something collectible...

To answer your question, you should be able to pick-up a DCG anywhere on property (to inlcude CSR) and pay for it with Visa (Maestro is not accepted on Disney property, as that is a PIN-based payment network).

It looks like you best bet, is to order them directly through Disney.

I found some info on their site, looks like you can call and order them in advance.

Only problem with that is OP does not live in the U.S. -- when you tack-on shipping, etc., it defeats the cost savings of not using one of the ATMs (which also gouge foreign visitors).

OP - best to purchase a Disney Gift Card at your resort and use that for food/incidentals while in the parks...

When using Disney Gift Cards what's the difference between simply using your credit card (say Visa)?

Paying for small things (like just a drink during the day) using your real credit card feels weird. But maybe that's just me. Do they even accept credit card for such small purchases?
