Hi All,
I was wondering if it is possible to purchase a bottle of whiskey for the room onboard (or even better pre order). Dont want to sneak anything on board and I realize it will be more expensive.

You cannot buy a bottle onboard however you can buy a bottle of wine at dinner

You can buy it at White Caps (duty free), you just can't consume it.
They suspended all liquor sales at white caps a while ago. Rumor has it you may soon be able to buy a bottle from one of the bars onboard to have when you disembark. This is what one of the bartenders told me a couple of weeks ago.

Interesting thought. If you could buy a bottle for consumption, I would be really curious on the price. 750ml in a typical whiskey bottle, @44ml in a shot, so around 17 shots in a bottle. I don't recall if you can buy shots onboard, but based on drink prices, I would estimate it at at least $10-12 per shot. That would put a bottle in the $170-204 range purely based on the number of shots. Throw in at least a 25% premium (likely more) and we are looking at $212-255 for a bottle based on my simplified math. Sell a $50 bottle at 400% markup - it wouldn't be bad money for them, but not exactly in the 'spirit' of Disney I suppose - pun intended.
