buying autograph books before 8.15 CRT?

hi, we arrive in sunny florida 3pm on 19th may, we have CRT booked for 8.15 on 20th for my DD's 7th birthday.
Question is......will shops on main st be open to buy autograph books?
we are not staying on site so can't get them there. we do plan to go to DTD on evening of the 19th, do they sell them in world of disney or anywhere else in DTD, can't remember

You will easily get one in World of Disney at DTD. They sell almost everything you see in the parks except park and ride specific products I think.

Just noticed you are also travelling from the UK. We are usually EXHAUSTED when we arrive and dont normally get to the resort until about 5pm after landing at 3pm. Of course, to us that is 10 pm. You can go in the Disney shop at the airport when you arrive to buy the book, it is the same WDW merchandise as the parks. That way if you are too tired to go out you are all prepared.

thanks mrsminniemouse, didn't notice the disney shop at airport last time! we will be going to DTD the night we arrive, we are so excited we will have to do something disney to get us in the mood, too late to waste a park entry day so DTd it will be! have a great trip, see you are going very soon

Yes, we are flying on 1st May. I am so excited it is ALL I can think about!

I bet your daughter is really excited about her birthday with Cinderella. DD will be 2 just after we get home. She has always loved the characters before. Last trip she was just 16 months and only knew Minnie, Mickey and Pooh and pals. She knows some of the princesses now but I bet she will be a bit shy if they speak to her! I have booked lunch in the castle one day, I know Cinderella wont be there but DD loves the castle when she sees it at the start of her DVDs. We also have Cape May Cafe and Chef Mickey character breakfasts booked.

I think I will try for CRt breakfast (or the new lunch with Cinderella) next year when DD will be 3. Did you struggle to get it booked for her birthday?

2 years ago we able to get lunch in the castle about 2pm and boy were we surprised after checking in they showed us to another room to wait for our name to be called and who was seating there with just a very few people around but CYNDI herself. What a treat it was my DS (age 11) at the time got her all to himself at one point and got a BIG KISS from her. It was a real KODAK MOMENT.

Just wanted to add, you can buy the autograph books everywhere ! They sell them at the resorts, every gift shop and kiosk, etc. There is a little gift shop just before you go under the train station (on the right) at MK that will also be open early.

mrsminniemouse, you won,t believe this but got CRT first time for the birthday, had 3 phones going with DH help and got through on two of them all thanks to the tips on the boards also, my other DD is 9 on 28th may while we are away and I got the illuminations cruise for that! not first time but 4th time, nothing the first 2, then wishes cruise on the 3rd attempt which i didnt really want as it wasn,t on her birthday, then 90 days before her birthday I got the illuminations cruise, she knows about the cruise but doesn,t know that the boat will be decorated etc
couldn,t believe how smoothly it all went , then last week my DH lost his job has factory went bust, he has a job another job now so things are looking better, beginning to look forward to the trip again now after temporary hiccup!

That's encouraging to hear that you got CRT fairly easily.

Sorry to her about DH's job. Hope the new one works out ok.

You can get the autograph books at the breakfast. They'll add the cost to your check.

I've even seen Cinderella excuse herself from a table where a family was lamenting that they forgot their camera. She came back and said their waiter would be bringing them a fling camera (added to the check) and she'd stop by after they had it set up to visit with their daughter again so they could capture the moment.

It was a true Disney moment...
