I have a question about buying activated APs at the Earport (Disney store at MCO). I know they do finger scans for AP holders - do they do the finger scans there or do you still have to wait in line at Guest Services just as if you had non-activitated APs? If so, will it be just as easy to buy my APs at my local Disney store before I go?

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks!

The biometrics (finger scans) are done at the parks the first time you use the annual pass. It's not done at guest services, or at the earport - it's done at the park turnstiles.

Have a great trip! :)

The ones at the Earport are identical to ones at the Disney store, so if you want to get them before hand like you can save yourself the stop.

Hope you have a great trip!

Actually, when you buy them at the Disney Store, they are just vouchers which you have to turn in for the actual AP. At the Earport you get an activated AP and then you just need to do your first scan at the turnstiles. I did it this way and it worked great!
