I hope this is the right area to ask this question.

I am going to purchase an AP when I go down in September. I have an old 5-day park hopper pass (pre-MYW) that has 4 days left on it, can I credit this towards my AP or will I have to pay the full price?

My understanding is that you can get credit for the original cost of the days left. Have you considered just using the days you have left and then getting the AP? Not sure of your situation but you have a few options.

Yes, this can be done. Simply take the ticket to any theme park ticket window and they can upgrade the ticket to an AP for you. They will convert the remaining 4 days on the ticket to a monetary amount (the total cost of your ticket, minus the one day already used) and apply that amount to the cost of the AP. Enjoy!!
