We are thinking about adding on 100 points to BLT. We currently have 200 points at SSR. We just got off the phone with our guide, but I am confused about a few things. You guys are so great one here, I thought I would ask all of you.

Would both resorts be considered our home resorts? If so, would we be able to make a reservation at BLT at 11 months out, using both BLT and SSR points if they are available? My guide made it sound like we would only be able to use the 100 points of BLT. That is kind of the main reason we would add-on right now, to be able to book the BLT 11 months out with all of our points available.

Also if our use year starts in September, would we be able to make this contract also for September, or do they have control over that? We forgot to ask him while we were on the phone.

He told us that the new incentive was $11 off for current members, where just last week it was $8 plus an extra $6 if you didn't take the cruise. That kind of stinks that we missed that. Although it isn't a huge diffence, I guess.

Thanks for your help.

Your home resort points are only good at the home resort at 11 months, you can combine them at 7 months.

Your add-on contract will have the same UY as your main contract.

Is it $11 off and a cruise now with 100 point add on?

For BLT Add-On currently :

50 - 99 pts $107 ($5 off $112)
100 - 124 pts $101 ($11 off $112)
125+ pts $99 ($13 off $112)

Members have been receiving by mail past couple of days Sharing The Magic booklet which indicates 3 night cruise incentive for add-ons of 100 points or more for a limited time only; but it isn't entirely clear from this booklet whether or not this is combinable with $ off per point incentive so be sure to ask your guide. I did see at least one post here earlier today where a member was told by their guide that they could get both.

Best wishes, hope you can get both incentives :goodvibes

Sorry if this is foolish...but If i own at BLT and want to add on at AKL, is this considered a new purchase? Also from this thread it seems like if
I want a new use year ( eg Aug initially and want to have Dec with the add on) will it be considered a new purchase?

If you add on through Disney, they will give you the same UY and it will be added to the same member number, so it will not be a new master contract.

However, if you want a different UY, then they require you to add on the number of points that would be for a new contract.

The other piece is that a different UY will also give you a new member # and the contracts points can not be combined for a single nights stay at 7 months without completing a transfer. Contracts that are under the same member # with the same UY, can (ie: if I own 100 BLT and 50 AKV with Aug UY, I can use all 150 for a reservation at 7 months without having to transfer between the two contracts).
