Buying additional points resale

Anyone else wondering if buying additional points now that the restrictions are in place will change overall membership status to include the "resale restrictions" on your account? Have owned for 4 years now and we have been thinking about adding on but obviously want to continue with the DVC membership perks that we have grown accustomed to.

No. It will just be an add on and you're grandfathered with your other contracts.

I'm rather confused where this idea is even coming from as lots seem to have it?

I'm also hoping that this will drive the resale value lower to make it easier to add on.
