Buying Additional Points on a Disney Cruise

We are looking to add on a few more points to our Disney Vacation Club membership. We are considering buying an additional 50 -75 points for our membership and are trying to sort out our best options and deals. We are going on a cruise on the Dream at the end of April and we have heard that there are great deals offered on the cruises. Can anyone comment on that fact. Anyone have recent data or information on recent deals offere on DVC points during cruise promotions?

I can't provide you specifics on current promos but while we were on our last cruise in Oct. the Aulani deals were great. I want to say about $10 less than the regular add-on price. From everything I have read, it's the best time to add on for resorts currently being sold. As far as existing resorts, I can't recall if there was any real additional discount. My gut says "no" because otherwise I would have been convincing DH to add on again.

Just on the Dream on 2/24 and they were pushing the same deals that WDW was offering.

They told us about the price increase coming in 2 weeks, offered $15 off per if you bought 160 points, $500 gift card(visa), last years points(bonus).

One thing I didn't like was they made it sound like closing was around $700 and they would pay half. Of course they sent me info that says closing is around $350 for everyone(if you finance).

Oh 6 VIP fast passes that could be used 3x each.
