Buying a special magic band before the trip - how to link?

I'm a sucker for Haunted Mansion and am considering buying a special Magic Band before our trip. It's new in the package and said it was purchased using link it later. Is there a code or something that I add to my MDE account?

The MB ID number is on the underside of the band. That is the number you link to your MDE account.
