:santa: I know there is a Christmas store at the MK and one at DTD. We'll be there from Dec. 18th through Jan. 1st. Does anyone know if they sell mini-Christmas trees that we can get to use in our resort room? If so, would you remember how much it costs? :confused3

Will you have a car? I'd go to the local WalMart. One year we drove and took a 6' tree from home to use in the cabin at Fort Wilderness. A neighbor walking by knocked on the door, wondering who puts up a big tree like that at Disney -- and it was a friend my DH had gone to school with. Talk about a SMALL WORLD!!!

I found this post:

It talks about the Disney Florist. It is not cheap! :cool1:

Thanks. We're looking for something cheaper.

We won't have a car, but we may take your suggestion and get a small size tree at our local Walmart and just pack it with us. :goodvibes

When we were there in Sept we checked the stores at Disney and Universal hoping to find one so that we don't have to bring one when we go for Christmas and we couldn't find anything.

So when we got home we went into Walmart and bought a 32 inch fiberoptic for 14.99 to bring with us. We plan to let each person pick out a new ornament to put on the tree while we are there. Then I don't have to pack any.

I really wanted a tree too when we were there is Dec, but we flew down from Ohio. I went to a store at home and bought a 6 inch tree and some mini ornaments and a mini tree skirt. I also grabbed plastic Santa Mickey and Minnie that had come with a Disney gingerbread house kit years ago. I packed it all in a ziploc food storage container. The whole thing cost me less than $10 and tucked neatly in my suitcase.

I am a Disney and Christmas nut (my B-day is Christmas Eve) :santa:

My husband rolled his eyes when I proceeded to "decorate" our room at the Poly by putting this tree with Mickey and Minnie along side it on a small table by our sliding glass doors, but I loved it. After 25 years, my DH knows that Christmas and Disney are my greatest passions, besides him :rotfl2:

I got a mini fiber optic tree from the Christmas store in DTD. It's really cute! I will try to post a pic later. I got it in September and it was $29.99. It's the perfect size for a hotel room! It measures about 18in from the base to the top and has fiber optic color changing lights and Mickey head "ornaments" SO CUTE! :thumbsup2

We would have to buy a tree that can fly with us in our suitcase or buy one there, at WDW. We'll see what happens. I'm glad you were able to find one that worked for you. :goodvibes

Sounds great!!! How fun. We got married a week before Christmas. So, when we go, we'll be celebrating both our anniversary and the holidays. This time of year is our absolute favorite, so we really want to go all out.

I contacted Walt Disney World Mail Order people, and they told me that they have a few trees at the "Disney Days of Christmas" at Downtown Disney Marketplace. So, now we think we might get one in DT and get decorations as we see them, throughout WDW. :santa:

I guess that's what the Disney mail order people were referring to!!! How awesome. Please try to post that pic, because we'd love to know what we can get. I'm so pysched, now!!! :yay: Thank you so much for responding, and I look forward to seeing the pic of it.

I have also been looking for a small tree I can pack in my suitcase to give our timeshare a holiday feel. I received a mail order catalog in the mail today and they have a 2 ft fiber optic tree for 14.99 and also a set of 2 (2ft) trees with white lights which is only 11.99. I am debating about ordering one of these, I only wish I new how compact they are when packed up.

Here is a link if you are interested in looking at their website.

Thanks for the link. Now that we know that we can get a small tree at DT, my DH doesn't want to bother with bringing one with us, but hopefully the link will help someone else who's looking to bring one with them on their trip. :santa:

You can buy an awesome 4 ft tree from the Disney Florist. It is fully decorated with collectible Disney ornaments and tree topper. Also, for $50, they will ship it home for you at the end of your stay!! I've heard there is going to be a table-top Disney themed tree too but it's not on the website yet.

Go to disneyflorist.com and click on Christmas to see the tree.

By the way, they also have stockings that can be embroidered!!

Have a Magical vacation!!

We originally looked at the 4 foot tree, but that's much bigger than we want. I just emailed the Disney florist about whether or not they plan to sell a smaller one, so I'll see what they say. Thanks for telling me about this possible news, and for the good wishes for our trip! :santa:

Ok...I FINALLY found my camera cable to load my pic.

The picture really dosn't do it justice. It's really cute! It also has Donald & Daisy, Goofy, and Dumbo on it and it's glittery. :thumbsup2

Here is an IDEA, When DW and I went to WDW, we FEDEX GROUND shipped out luggage ahead.

You could go and find a small artifical tree, pack it in a box witha few decorations (or buy them there) and FEDEX it to yourself at the resort!

It worked great for us, and when we were ready to leave, we FEDEX it back.

As an example of cost, we shipped a 60 pound hard sided suitcase from San Diego to the Poly resort for about $43.00! it was about the same going back. You can open an account for free with Fedex. (I know I sound like a salesman, but I'm not) You just have to remember that it will take a few days!

Thank you so much for posting the pic! Now, we definitely want to get it when we go in December. :santa:

Creative idea! Thanks for the tip. It gives us more options. :woohoo:

Last Christmas I decorated a small tree and packed decorations for the room in my checked luggage (wrapped in bubble wrap)
