what does anyone know about them ... :car:

I only got this far in the review before I moved onto the next car in consideration:

"J.D. Power and Associates gives the HHR two and half out of five stars in initial reliability."

I know 2 people who have them. They liked them for about 2 weeks. Now they hate them.

We rented one in Orlando last year and hated it. It was uncomfortable, not a lotof leg room in the back seat, and pretty stupid-looking.

It was all they had left at the time that had a big enough trunk for the amount of luggage we had.

We went back the next day and traded it in.

We had one as a rental last year in Chicago. It was cool for about the first day then not so much. The seats seemed small and getting in and out was cumbersome. It was the best driving car either.

My dad has one and loves it. I drove it the entire time I housesat for them during their last trip to WDW (about a week and a half) and loved it, also. VERY smooth ride, plenty of headroom (which I need), and quite comfortable.

They don't look like they have a lot of leg room in the back though, I noticed you have a teenager too.

Well.....I just bought an HHR about a month ago. I saw it on the dealer website, it had everything I wanted on it, called the dealer and test drove it on the way home from buying it and I love it! :)

Looks like a hearse.

We rented one the last trip to WDW. It not only looks like a hearse but it drives like one too. And the interior was odd - very hard, uncomfortable plastic everywhere.

We also rented one on after our last Disney cruise, and drove it back from Port Canaveral to Orlando International Airport.

When we got to the toll booth, DH could not find the control for the automatic window. He had to open the door to pay the attendant, who, luckily for us, was a really nice older gentleman.

DH: Sorry, I can't figure out how to roll down the window in this car! It's a rental . . .

Attendant: Don't worry. I know you'll get it. I have faith in you!"

A few miles down the road, we find a button on the middle console that controls the windows . . .

Oh, and teeny tiny trunk! We didn't have enough room for our post-cruise luggage . . . :crowded:

I've rented one a couple of times for business and hated it. The small tinted side and back windows are difficult to see out of. It felt really small.
