Buyer's Remorse??

You won't find too many people here who had significant buyers remorse. But there are a LOT of VAKL contracts available resale. And that fits a pattern - there are usually a lot of whatever is currently selling available resale as people discover this doesn't really fit their lives (plus those contracts tend to be priced higher and stay on the market longer as people try and get all their money out without the benefit of price increases from Disney).

We have been DVC members since 2002 and stayed at BCV (many times), BWV, OKW and WLV and never once felt the rooms showed signs of wear. I wonder if we were just lucky? Maybe I have low expectations?:lmao:

I also have never had a major issue with MS or customer service at WDW. We have had a few minor issues, but nothing I would consider a deal breaker or something that couldn't be encountered at a Hilton or similar hotel/resort.

Maybe DH and I just naive or wear rose colored glasses?:goodvibes
:lmao: i like your answer. myself and my family are with you, we have been members since 99 and treated like a king and queen . we always stay at okw, is there a little spot on the rug? yes, is there a spoon missing? yes, but the quiet, the full frig, king bed, our dd has her own bedroom and bath. i can over look the little spot on the rug. i travel for work and my dd dances, we stay at alot of hotels in a year, i have never been treated or had a "room" like we do at disney. thats why we have been back evey year since 1973. we always found if you have a problem, ask (not yell) to a cm, i have a problem, can you help me please, works evey time. give somone the old:mad: and chance are, you wont get it,disney, hilton, dvc or anywere.if your second guessing, take a weeks vacation, stay at all star for 4 day and stay at a dvc resort for 3 days. (youll be signing the papers before you leave.):lmao:

Your need to love WDW enough that you plan to go there for the next xx years, no matter what happens to the property. Will you still love it if they continue to dumb down the restaurants? Increase admission prices. Reduce park hours or close parks on a rotating schedule? Offer additional discounts that continues to increase park attendance even during the slow times of the year?

Most members will tell you how wonderful the DVC is because they don't want to admit to themselves that it could be better. The resorts are showing signs of wear. The customer service at the resorts is inconsistent and below average at best and the customer service at MS has improved recently but has a way to go.

:welcome: Home!

Not sure I go along with that. Could it be better sure it could. Can you say that about each and every thing in my life. Certainly!! I'm very lucky, I've never had bad CM's on my stays but then I don't get upset if the cm's on the phone don't sing "Zippa dee do dah" when I tell them it's my birthday.

When I call for extra towels, I've recieved them. When I say good morning, I'm always greeted in return. When I've had maintence problems they have been resolved. Ticket price increases, have you been to the movies lately? Please tell me what major vacation spot you've been too that is the same price as it was 5 years ago?

Could it be better, Sure. Is it still one of the best vacation values around? IMO yes Maybe it's the opposite, maybe DVC'ers are more realistic than the average person. We don't expect tinkerbell floating around sprinkling us with pixie dust.
