Since the buy4-get7 promo has been going on for a while now, maybe some of you can help me out based on experience. While the promo is very attractive, as a AP-holder I wouldn't need another parkticket. Which makes me wonder, could I have them NOT put the ticket on my KTTW-card but on an actual ticket, so I can use it on a later trip after my AP has expired?

Any other ways around this for AP-holders?

From past experience, the ticket is a separate ticket. It is a one day base ticket. I have several from past deals. As an a/p holder, I have the option to apply those tickets the next time I have to renew my annual pass. But, I am using the tickets when my husband comes with us next time. He usually plays golf everyday and rarely goes into the parks.

We are using the 4/7 deal and got a 1day ticket. When we need to renew our passes we just upgrade the unused 1 day ticket to an annual pass.

In June, there are 6 of us staying at the family suites at ASMu. We were fortunate to get the 4/3 deal on the first day it was announced. I have an AP but no one else in our group has one.

Because of the price for the rest of the group, I did not think that I could have used my AP for my tickets. Could I have purchased a one day pass and then the rest of the group buy the 4/3?

Unfortunately everyone in the party would have to purchase the same ticket length. I would check to see if you could have your ticket amount placed on something different to use in the future. You might have to upgrade to non-expiring, but not positive on that.

I have done this with other packages when I had an AP. Purchased the 1 day base ticket and then had them put it on a paper ticket. The last time I was told I had to wait until the last day of my stay. They checked my KTTW card and put the day on a paper ticket. Make sure you ask when exactly this has to be done. There was some miscommunication when I did mine. One person told me I needed to do it after I checked out, another told me I needed to do it at the time of check out.

Make your package for all with a 1 day base ticket. After you check in take your KTTW cards and go to Guest Services at the resort or parks and have them upgrade the other's to the ticket you need for your stay. Then you can either keep your 1 day base ticket on your KTTW card or have them place it on a paper ticket. Then at a later date you can upgrade your unused ticket to either a multi day ticket or a park hopper.

I have an AP. I bought the 4/3 day base tickets (to get the 3 days free for my d). They were on our room keys when we checked in. I had them removed from my key and got another "key" with the tickets on it (it looks just like the key but has no name or dates, and says "Not Valid for Charging". It also describes the ticket.) No problem.

So now I have a 7 day ticket to use after my AP expires! And since that'll probably be after Disney increases ticket prices again, I'll have a double savings.

The only issue with this is that the rest of the party will lose the $9/pp difference between the 4 and 7 day tickets. I don't think you can upgrade at the park and still only pay the 4 day price.

Of course, the savings for not having to buy a 7 day pass for AP hold should more than make up for it.
