Buy your WDW tickets tomorrow!!

The average family rarely, if ever, purchases one-day/one-park tickets. It's surely not something Disney wants to provide significant incentive for, prefering to encourage guests to stay longer. Beyond that, I think the average family can afford the cost of admission. It just requires a bit of creative prioritization, deciding to take a WDW vacation instead of, say, buying an HDTV and wearing winter coats for one-more-year, for example. Many families won't see the value in making those sacrifices for WDW, though, and they'll choose to vacation elsewhere. It's a delicate balance.

I do not know all the new prices, I buy the 10 Day Premiums (no expire hoppers with plus features). BUT: TicketMania says they are out of 2005 passes, and they say this:

NEW 10 Day Premium (adult) is $463 at gate, and their new price for mousesavers subscribers (only) is $422.

I went over to Maple Leaf tickets, recommended by all ears dot net, I have never used Maple Leaf, but they have 10 day adult premiums for $384! I am bought 2 today. NO TAX, $4.95 priority mail shipping.

In the past I have used TicketMania, and loved them, but $$ is $$.

Added: undercover tourist looks even better on price, oh well!

We have checked many different sites and all of them have already increased their prices. Oh well, I guess that teaches me to stay away from the boards this long.

Yeah! I was wrong. My DH bought 5 10-day Premium passes no exp. tickets thru Maple Leaf and saved around $140. I figured that would get us the next two trips even though we stay 6 days we can do a water park or Disney Quest. Thank you for your help. Hope everyone on the boards has a great New Year.

I have been trying all morning to buy these darn tickets! Last night, I was all set, went to purchase on Ticketmania, and it wouldn't let me get to the checkout (apparently they were busy raising prices) :badpc: .
So after reading here about Maple Leaf, undercover tourist and discountorlandovacations, I decided to try them. Maple Leaf charged shipping , so I didn't buy from them. Discountorlandovacations wouldn't accept my credit card :confused3 . So I ended up with undercovertourist.
Thanks DISer's :Pinkbounc :bounce: . You saved me lots of $$.

discount orlando vacations now is saying that their online ordering is unavailable......I wonder if they are changing thier prices.

julia

well, I hope I don't regret this.....I ordered a 10 day premium pass, non expiring, before the price changed, from discount orlando vacations. I have never used them before.....I hope it's okay.

We have 20 days of various passes (old park hoppers) already, so with this pass, we have 5 days at the big parks for each member of my family and multiple water park days. Of course, I don't imagine us going until 2007 or 2008, but at the rate the passes go up, I'm getting a better return on my money than the bank!!

I believe the one day passes are bought by those that don't plan ahead well and underestimate what they'll need and/or decide to stay an extra day so they go ahead and purchase that one day pass to extend the fun.

did the price of APs go up?

am I missing something? If the only real discounts Disney has offered have been through Travel Company, and to do Travel Company Packages you have to get tickets...........why would I buy tickets now?

I believe the one day passes are bought by those that don't plan ahead well and underestimate what they'll need and/or decide to stay an extra day so they go ahead and purchase that one day pass to extend the fun.
Folks would be well-advised to simply add days to the passes they purchased originally, rather than buying one day passes. In many cases, they can add days for just a few dollars each.

I am wondering too....did Annual Pass rates go up too?

I haven't seen anything on it yet...

Here's what AP prices were:
Adult: $420.68
Child: $357.84
Renewal:
Adult: $378.08
Child: $321.63

Here's what they are now according to mousesavers:
Annual Pass:
$441.98 Adults
$388.73 Children (3-9)

Renewal Annual Pass:
$399.38 Adults (10 and older)
$351.45 Children (3-9)

NEW ANNUAL and PREMIUM ANNUAL PASS PRICES (these are before tax).

First price is the Premium Annual Pass and the second is a regular Annual Pass

AP adult $539 child $475 adult $415 child $365
AP Renewal adult $489 child $430 adult $375 child $330

FL Resident (proof of FL residency required) adult $429 child $379 adult $325 child $285
FL Resident Renewal adult $384 child $338 adult $290 child $255

DVC Member adult $414 child $364 adult $315 child $277
DVC Member Renewal adult $384 child $338 adult $290 child $255

A. Not everybody who goes to WDW stays onsite. Many people stay offsite and wouldn't buy a package anyway. But they do need tickets and they'd rather get them today at the 2005 price than next month at the 2006 prices.

B. Disney also offers AP discounts (where only the person making the ressie needs to have an AP) and AAA room-only discounts. People taking advantage of those would not be booking packages.

C. There are no guarantees of any package deals being offered in the future. Some times a bird in the hand...well, you get what I mean.

Right, if they KNEW they could do this, i'm sure they would. Alot of people just don't realize this is possible and the CMs will just process their request as is, not even knowing they had existing passes.

Good heavens......I bought the 10 day premium, non expiring pass for $348, and it would now be $432.....that's almost a 25% increase!!!

Am I figuring that correctly?

Julia

I added one day of park hopper tickets for something like an additional $12.00! :cool1:

I'm not quite sure why I didn't just do it in the first place?! :rotfl2: :confused3 :rotfl:
