There's a message on another website that says WDW ticket prices will be going up "substantially" on Jan. 1, 2006!!

Does anyone know, if I've put a deposit on a package deal already, am I locked with the rates or could the price potentially go up? :confused3

You've locked in the rates. If you made changes to the tickets on the package, then you'd be paying the new price.

So I've been considering adding one more day of park hoppers (we're staying for 10 nights, but only have 9 days of hopper tickets)-I should do it tomrrow I guess!!

Definitely! If you wait any longer, you'll likely be paying a lot more (than the $1.00 or so you will be paying now).

Was this another DIS forum? This is the first I've heard of it.

It's on Mousesavers, which is usually reliable. I got on Ticketmania to order my tickets, but the site isn't currently working (says it will be early Sat AM). Does anyone have any other discount recommendations?

Some people use Maple Leaf to buy discount tickets. Ticketmania is usually a little cheaper though.

I can confirm that they are indeed going up on January 1st. If you already have a package booked with tickets your pricing will not change, it will be new packages and tickets that will be increasing.

Anyone have ANY idea what "substantionally" might mean?

It seems hard to believe they would raise ticket prices all that much.

Isn't the whole point to get people INTO the parks to spend their money? :confused3

Well, now I am REALLY glad that I booked our package last week!! ::MickeyMo

Thanks for posting! And, as always, thanks to Mary for sharing what a little birdie told her. I already have 2 AP vouchers tucked away and have 2 active APs that we are still using, so may go back and order 2 more from the DVC website--well worth the $300 for the AP Adult ticket with the DVC discount!

My guess is that the prices won't go up until January 2 -- Monday. :teeth:

Y'still gotta buy them today, though, unless you're going to the parks.

I think I will renew my AP's when they expire to get the DVC discount! It ends up being about the same cost or lower than a 10 day ticket.

I know this won't affect our January trip since its paid in full but I'm wondering about our July trip. We already have a reservation and a deposit but if we were to change our resort reservation but still keep the package would our ticket price go up?

I just went to Ticketmania's website and their prices have already gone up! A 10-day MYW Premium adult pass (no-expiry) is now over $463.30 at the gate according to them. Ticketmania's price is lower but substantially higher than they were yesterday. DiscountOrlandoVacation.com still has tickets at the 2005 rates. I just placed my order.

From ticketmania.com's website:
Disney World 2006 prices
That time of the year Disney has set the 2006 prices, they have gone up little on all of the Magic Your Way Tickets. We are compelety out of the 2005 stock, below is all of the current tickets and prices.

I will not quote prices, as they are the mousesavers.com newsletter subscriber's prices. The 7 day expiry hopper that I have been planning to purchase has increased $11.
