Just wondering if anyone has cashed in their airmiles for the hopper passes? Do you get a pass in the mail or do they send you a voucher to take to guest relations to exchange for the passes? Has anyone had trouble with them? Any info you can give would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks:earsboy:

Hi EEYORERULES! :)

I used some of our airmiles last year, for a 7 day pass. It was the park pass they mailed to me, not a voucher.

Kim :)

Which type of airmiles cards do you use? There are so many out there it is confusing. I have the TD travel gold card - but I just got it and don't know much about what I can use it for except that 5000 points gets you $75.00 off.

JUST THE REGULAR AIRMILES. THE TICKETS ARE 2280 POINTS FOR A CHILD - 5 DAY PASS & 2700 POINTS FOR AN ADULT ONE - FROM MEMORY SO DON'T QUOTE ME ON THAT. GO TO WWW.AIRMILES.CA & IT WILL GIVE YOU THE POINT VALUES. YOU CAN ALSO PURCHASE 7 DAY PASSES AS WELL.

5 day PHP Adult 2780
7 day PHP " 3360

Did you see the DLR tickets? 6 days for price of 4 1560!!

Seaworld Orlando 450

They have Universal Studios Hollywood but not Orlando
..odd?!

How do you go about redeeming your miles for these
tickets? We never done it before.

I've been thinking of getting those, and then using my airmile PHP tickets to upgrade to PAP's. Any one know what the price diffence is to upgrade. And do we pay tax on the airmile tickets?

Do you have the airmiles cards where you get 1 airmile for every $20 spent. That's the one I have but I hardly ever use it because it takes too long to save the miles. I have a TD gold travel card where I get 1 mile for every $1 spent. With the same amount of spending for 1 -7 day park hopper, I can get $1000 off my trip. Just wondering because a couple of weeks ago I did a lot of calculations trying to figure which card has the most benefits.

Mamudduck, I was wondering the same thing. When I posted here a couple of months ago, the general thought was it wouldn't work. If someone who has the ticket could post what it says on the back it may give us a better idea.

How long does it take to save up the points anyway? Or a ball park figure rather.

I currently have about 2300 airmiles and haven't cashed any in for about 2 years. I do not have an airmiles mastercard which would increase the miles I receive.

I just recently switched my bank account to BMO, I use primus for long distance, buy anything I need and can get airmiles for at Pharmaplus and A&P. One trip to A&P got me 300 airmiles because of bonuses. I also have my club z points exchanged for airmiles monthly.

Most of these points have been received in the past year.

tmli,

Could you tell me how to exchange my club Z points for airmiles? Is the club Z the same as HBC points?

Thanks,
CC

It's easy to exchange them. 2000 club z = 1 airmile.

You can do it online at either of their websites or go into the store. You can set them up to do the exchange just once or monthly. Mine automatically happen every month.

Yes club z is the same as HBC, I keep forgetting to call them by there new name!!

Wow - I'm going to have to start shopping at A&P. I had totally disregarded using my mastercard because it was so slow earning miles that I didn't realize that A&P had gotten better at giving them out. I used to spend $100 a week there and would get just a few airmiles. Time to take another look. I'm really into rewards. I had been using the Shoppers Optimum Card/Visa Card up until last month and I go for the free $75.00 shopping spree a couple of times a year. I just switched to the TD card because they will take $75 off your travel for only 5000 points and they started me with 7000 points. They use the Sabre booking system (which is what travel agents use) so the prices are the same, you can book packages (even Disney) and there are no blackout dates. BUT I can still shop at A&P - Sobey's has been making me mad lately anyway.
