Has anyone ever purchased tickets on ebay. I found someone who will list a 5 day hopper no expiration for 150.00 buy it now. Has 100% positive rating. Too good to be true ? and if we paid through paypal are we covered? We need 8 tickets for our Sept/Oct trip. Thanks for any info.

if it has been used then they have a finger print scan already with it, it's not a good idea there is no way to get the ticket and check to see if there are days on it or not until you are at disney and swiping the card at the ternstile.... to risky $150 can be spent on a few differant things at disney!!! My suggetion is if you aren't going to buy from disney join the mailing list for the mousesavers.com and get the monthy news letter mailed out on the 15th with special discounts. other then that buy a MYW package from disney if you are staying on property and want dinnine plan ect.

I personally would not risk it. I do not know about the Paypal part of it but from what I have read here there is not a way for Disney to verify the validity of tickets. I look at it this way, Disney is a special trip, why take the chance of ruining it with invalid tickets at the gate. I'd try one of the ticket vendors endorsed by allears or wdwradioshow to save a few bucks. If you have AAA they have discounted tickets too.

If there's no expiration, why aren't they saving them? Plus, how old are the tickets? My family went while I was still in high school in 1994 and got no expiration tickets, but each ticket had our name pre-printed across it, so only the ticket holder with ID could use it. Personally, there are some things I just wouldn't buy on ebay. I know someone else out there will be able to give you more specifics on the tickets. Good luck.

As with anything on eBay, some purchases can be "dicey"...

...if this is an individual person (Joe/Jane Blow) selling his/her leftover Disney tickets, BE CAREFUL -- as many of those tickets may be linked to Joe or Jane's finger scan (and turn-out to be void for you!).

On the other hand, there are some reputable Orlando-based ticket brokers doing business on eBay (typicially, you can identify them, as they have multiple listings, and they make mention of their business in the listing).

As for the 100% positive rating, I recently had an unnerving experience on eBay with a "100% positive" (Southwest Airlines Gift Card) which ended-up costing me some of my hard-earned $$ (anyone wanting to know particulars, you can PM me), meaning you can't even trust those who "appear" clean...

Sounds to good to be true - kinda like the $15,000 100% real Hermes or Louis Vuitton bags on there that are going for $300.... yeah, there totally real, really..... I would't take the chance on it - skimp on other areas of the trip if your trying to save money (like pack lunches, or only buy a few t-shirts, etc), but the point of going ito Disney s to GET INTO THE PARKS - what if the worst happens, and you can't? I just wouldn't chance it.

If the tickets are being sold by vacationpros4u.....go for it. I buy all my tickets from him. He's an authorized reseller and it's a no hassle transaction. You just go in, tell them your name, show ID, sign and your done.

If the tickets are being sold by an individual then I'd pass.

from personal experience: DO NOT BUY DISNEY TICKETS ON EBAY!!!! learned my lesson last march- lost $900.00! :scared:

Bad idea.

Do not buy tickets from private parties.

You are not simply covered by PayPal although the latter may try to recover you your money if something goes wrong. The general behind the scenes rule is that, if PayPal actually gets the money (back) from the other party (seller or buyer), for example the money was still in that person's PayPal kitty and could be frozen, then you receive the money (back).

Now if you have friends or relatives or eBay sellers who are willing to gift to you the tickets and then you give a tip (100%, not 15% or 18% or 20%) when you happily get back, .... (hint, hint).
