What are the pros and cons if we were to buy 150 points now at VWL and then buy 150 when the new Beach Club Villas open next year? We're thinking buying through Disney is better so we get the points from last year too. Waiting for a resale at Boardwalk, plus closing costs - we don't know if that's worth it, even though we stayed at Boardwalk last summer and loved it.

Also does anyone know details on VWL - are there any palm trees on property there? I'm not sure I want to buy sight unseen.

No palm trees at VWL it's strictly pine trees and national Parks "lodge" atmosphere.Some pros and cons: You can enjoy DVC now, BCV could well be at least 1 1/2 years away. Price is definitely cheaper than it will be. Ressies can only be made 11 mos out at home resort so if you split points between, you will have to wait till 7 mos window at other resort to stay in one place (or borrow points) Don't shy from resale, we were going to wait and found a good deal at BWV.Most important advice: Buy where you plan to stay!
