Buy it Nows

I'm getting ready to list a bunch of items today and I'm wondering about the buy it now option. I've used i a few times and only once it worked. Is it worth it? Do many find you do better with or without it? Thanks!

I like it because I get sales right away instead of waiting a week for auctions to end. Does it increase sales? I'm not sure. But,if buyers are looking and they are impulse buyers,waiting a week might mean losing the sale.

that's how I got most of my npb's (non paying bidders)..they don't read my description stating that I DO NOT take bids from people with 0 or negative feedback..they use the buy it now..and then they don't pay..so just be careful when using it..or else..check the option which says PAY IMMEDIATELY when using your buy it now..that way if they don't pay right away..you can relist the item and not chance losing the sale all together...then if the first person doesn't pay within 10 days..you can file for your final value credit!..good luck!

I've always had good luck with BIN. I am sure it depends on what you are selling though.

I've used buy it now and liked it.
Just make sure your BIN price is high enough. You can do a little research on how much a certain item has sold for by looking the item up under "completed items".

I don't use it because I prefer all my auctions go off on the same day. That way I make fewer trips to the post office. Other than that, I think it's a great idea.

I'm a buyer - not a seller - and, because of the way I shop, I really prefer "BIN" for most of the auctions I'm looking at. I go on Ebay for very specific items, usually related to my DD's theater activities. So I need a particular show CD or a unique item of clothing for a costume, etc. When I find it, I just want to purchase it. Don't want to worry about checking back or getting outbid. I actually wish that an auction I'm looking at now had a BIN - I'd have purchased the item already.

I am another eBay buyer who prefers BIN. If I want your item and the price is fair, I prefer to just Buy It Now. I have no problem with Immediate Payment Required. My fast payments have given me 100% positive feedback.

As a buyer, even if there is no buy it now option and no bidders yet, I will always ask the seller if they are interested in a BIN, and at what price. If it is appealing to me, I go for it and I 've found that I usually fair better (compared to auctions of the same or similar items that go the limit).
