Buy Disney $ with Rewards?

Can you purchase Disney Dollars in the parks with your Visa Rewards card?

I thought I had read a while back that some local Disney stores would not allow you to purchase Gift Cards (don't expire) with the Rewards Card (does expire).

My kids love using the Disney Dollars to make purchases during our trips and this way I could give them each a set amount instead of keeping track of how much I bought for each kid with my rewards card.

You can buy gift cards online with the rewards card. They are plastic cards, not paper dollars. They do not have a shipping fee. You buy them in $25 increments ($25, $50, $75 etc).

I thought once at bought them in magic kingdom, as soon as you walk in to your left. I can't remember the name of the building.

When we purchased Disney Dollars we had to use cash...not a debit or credit card...this was at Downtown disney.
