Buy ahead or at the parks?

There are going to be things that I am going to buy for sure when we are there, but was wondering about certain items if they are worth buying on ebay. I am just not sure how much these items are in the parks to compare.

I already purchased some pins on ebay for trading and am going to buy my daughter and I a lanyard also.

If you can find a pressed coin book on Ebay that is less than $10 (provided shipping is reasonable) buy it ahead of time. 4x6 photo albums can be purchased anywhere, including your local Disney store and unless you want something that is WDW specific, save your money and buy it ahead of time. The general rule of thumb is, if it's something that can be purchased ahead of time for a smaller cost, do it. If not, wait until you arrive. If you are travelling in the summer months, you may want to consider spray bottle fans. They are "must" if you are out in the heat. Walgreens/Walmart cost about $5 as opposed to $20 at WDW.

How about a poncho? I've heard Walmart sells them in the US for about $1. We bought them for about $7ea at the park. We held off as long as we could but it poured for so long. So it was expensive but worth it.

I found a pressed coing book at the Disney store at the Premium outlets for 1.98.

Anything you can find ahead of time instead of the parks will most likely be cheaper. Last year I found POTC lanyards at Target in the dollar spot.

I made the mistake of buying a waterproof card/cash neck carrier for the water parks in advance thinking it would be cheaper and I paid more than double. At WDW they were $6.00 in Canada $12.00 Ughhh....
